"First time stay...great!"
I normally don't bother leaving reviews but this hotel deserves a mention. Booked this hotel for myself and a colleague for a business trip. Seemed like good reviews together with a good price on Expedia so thought I'd give it a try. Great staff, polite and helpful, checkin was easy. Rooms are spacious and internet access was nice and fast! Breakfast was really enjoyable too....if book here again if I was in the area. Short walk to cinema and restaurants.

"Nice hotel "
Had an enjoyable couple of days at Coldra Court - rooms are large and currently being updated so should be lovely in due course. Reception and bars very nice and comfy. Had a really nice dinner in the restaurant too. Would definitely recommend if you can accept there's work going on in the hotel at the moment

"Close to The Shops"
We booked overnight here for our annual Christmas shopping trip. Location was perfect and the staff were very helpful with allowing us to store our luggage while we shopped on both days. The room was big and beds comfortable but it was chilly and we had problems getting the heating to work. We spent a pleasant evening in the hotel bar but didn't eat in the restaurant. We discovered in the morning when opening the curtains that the double glazed secondary window was open which would have accounted for the noise from the generator which could be heard in the room and contributed to the coldness too I am sure. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others looking for somewhere central to stay while in Cardiff. ☺

"Nice hotel close to centre"
Very nice hotel, rooms are spacious with a modern feel to them. Short taxi ride into the city centre. It was a very busy hotel, not sure if we just caught it as a 1 off or whether that is the norm. The only downside was, we were told it was a 24 hr bar facility for residents, but when we got back from our night out, everything was closed, so don't plan on having a drink there when you return there.

The temperature of the room was too hot and even though there was an air conditioning unit you couldn't control the temperature. Not sure if this was due to a faulty unit or cost cutting. I normally feel the cold but it was so hot we couldn't sleep, felt like we were in a sauna. Ended up sleeping with the door onto the blacony open, which unfortunately meant we were woken up early by noise outside.

"This is a quaint, small hotel located in Penarth."
With our early arrival, we had to wait a bit at the very-near bus stop for the business(pub) to open. We were allowed to leave our bags inside and go exploring the Cardiff area until the room would be ready. There was some concern about getting how we would get our large luggage up the stairs. However, upon our return that afternoon, our room was ready and luggage had already been carried up for us. The room was very nice, well-furnished, and had a private full bath. There were tea and coffee provisions, as well. Everything was clean. The room overlooked the schoolyard and road intersection, allowing us to see and hear local life. The pub downstairs was very traditional and seemed to have neigborhood regulars. Lunch and dinner were offered daily, so we tried it one night. The food was good and varied, but it took a bit longer to be prepared since it is a small business.

"Nice hotel"
Good welcome; excellent room - big and spacious although bath a bit small. Facilities good. Bar understaffed. Coffee from coffee machine in dining room was pretty revolting and food could have been hotter Otherwise great location for station; St David's Centre; local shops and the Motorpoint Arena (pity I had booked an event at the Millenium Hall and didn't realise - but worth checking tickets!!

"Very happy with my stay"
Clean, friendly, comfortable. Rooms are small but this is how the hotel is designed and it is the concept of the hotel. You just need the room to sleep and not to live inside. In return you get a great rate for a comfortable stay. Next to train station but I had no issue with sound during night.

Cardiff is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Cardiff, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Cardiff hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
