"Nice hotel close to Fitzwilliam Museum"
I stayed here for 7 nights while attending a conference sponsored by the Fitzwilliam Museum. The hotel is less than two blocks away. My single room was very comfortable and clean. Excellent housekeeping services. I ate dinner in the hotel four nights; the food was fine and the service mostly very attentive. Front desk was helpful.

"Nice hotel on the outskirts of Cambridge"
This is not a chain hotel, therefore is different with quirky features. It is clean and tidy with lovely antiques and very old paintings. The Waitrose next door is very convenient (it's not in view though). There is an honesty bar, just write your room number and what you have served yourself! Breakfast is good with a selection of cereals, bread (butter and orange juice in the fridge - help yourself) and hot food available in 2 hot trays.

"Great Hotel in Cambridge"
We only stayed in Cambridge for one night, but were so pleased we chose the Varsity Hotel. Our room was lovely; very clean, spacious and had a balcony. All staff were helpful and professional. We had a car and they offer a valet service. Definitely recommend this. The staff took very good care of our car and there is really no where else to park and the streets are very narrow. The location of the hotel is perfect; walking distance to explore the downtown and some great restaurants for dinner. Loved it. Would stay there again!

"Ideal hotel to explore Cambridge and surroundings"
The hotel is 10 minutes from the park and ride that takes you straight into the centre of Cambridge. After a great day exploring the city it was great to go back to relax in the hot tub and take a gentle swim, followed by a quite evening meal.

"Convenient for all the best of Cambridge"
Although a little way out of the city, it is a short bus or taxi ride to the centre. We did both, but the taxi was more comfortable and able to avoid traffic. The staff were very helpful and polite; the room was spacious and well appointed with storage. We dined and breakfasted at the hotel. The food was excellent; well presented and the right size portions so we could enjoy three courses at dinner.

Great weekend. Staff very helpful. Rooms overlooking street a bit noisy but it wasn't too bad as the windows double glazed. A lovely hotel with lots of character.

"Hallmark Hotel in Bar Hill, Cambridge"
This hotel is convenient if you have a car but not if you do not. It is ok but the beds are not great and the pillows are awful. It is not a bad price and the breakfast is good. It also has a very good gym and nice pool. Overall I would say that this hotel is perfectly fine it is just that the bedrooms are ok but not of a 4 star standard. Also on weekends there is always noisy groups who seem to come back to their bedrooms in the early hours which is rather annoying. The staff are friendly though. It takes about 15 minutes to drive into Cambridge so long as there is no traffic.

"Nice hotel near to the city "
The hotel was in good condition but is more set up as a business hotel than family orientated. Internet at £15 for 24 hours is quite shocking for 2016. Some staff very friendly but others a bit off hand.

"Comfortable and quiet break away"
I stayed one night with my partner and we were welcomed and shown to our room in annex. It was a very cosy room with lovely view. Even though you are close to the M11 it's very quiet. The only negatives were the breakfast is a little pricey and the floorboards were a little creaky and that's just being picky.

Cambridge is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Cambridge, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Cambridge hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
