We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights during our recent Japan trip. The hotel location is very conveniently located within walking distance to Shinjuku station and there are lots of eating places under the hotel building as well as nearby street. The room is very small but it is clean and comfortable enough for our shirt stay.

We were in Japan for 5 weeks;spent 3 in Prince Properties. Always assured of exceptional service. My wife had bad cold- staff member took her temp and suggested she yse OTC remedies for 24 hours and then took me to a drug store serving as translator with a knowledgeable pharmacist. Next day an apointment was made with english-speaking American Board Certified MD. Excellent physical exam and recommendations. And services condtinued at exceptional.level.

"Dated decor . Stale "moldy/old cigarettes " odor"
Convenience to airport and Narita the city. 24 HR convenience store Lawson in lobby.
Rooms and conditions are NOTHING!!! Like those I've encountered at other Nikki hotels in the world . I've stayed at the one in San Francisco and they are great ! This one at airport is like a "airport motel" in the USA . The garden looks outdated from disuse . The whole hotel besides lobby which looks like a busy airport ticket counter and is very efficient is dated and worn . Sad to see the "brand name" suffer ....

I highly recommend this hotel. We stayed in a business class king room. Overall the room was clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and all the services were great. We had a turndown service and a welcome drink as well as a Nespresso machine in the room. Absolutely wonderful stay. The only complaint is that there was a little mold in the bathroom but kind of expected in Japan as it is such a humid country. This hotel also has a free shuttle service to Narita city Aeon mall and the airport. This proved to be extremely convenient.

I think this as the first time we stayed at the Excel although we frequent Narita transit hotels. We really liked this hotel for a 1 or 2 night stay. Rooms looked like nothing special but they were very comfortable, and quiet, and the rates very reasonable.
We would choose this hotel again.

The staff was exceptional at the Kamakura Prince Hotel. When my husband became ill in the restaurant, they were by his side with caring and concern. The overall experience there was pleasant, serene and calming.
