"Beautiful hotel very friendly staff"
Beautiful spacious ryokan. Our room consisted of an entry, dining room Japanese style main room with low table with seats, another room with a couch & a wonderful massage chair and a deck overlooking a stream. While having dinner our room was made up for sleeping. I am not fond of some of the veggie & seaweed but the food was beautifully presented and many of the dishes were delicious. Very nice onsen. Staff was wonderful & helpful. Pickup & return to station was helpful.

"Great location"
I stayed here because I found a review on another site saying tattoos were ok at the onsen. That was true. The onsen, however, was a bit basic. The staff, although they couldn't speak a lot of English, were extremely kind and welcoming. Even helped us locate a lost bag by calling the bus company and train station for us. The big selling point is the location. A bit of a walk from the station. But an easy walk to all the sightseeing spots.

"Best Hotel in Japan!"
I can't say enough good things about this place - the traditional rooms are amazing, the facilities phenomenal, the location is great (next to Nikkos best kept secret temple!) and the staff couldnt do enough for us! We traveled with young kids (4 and 11 months) and they were made to feel like royalty!! I would go back to Nikko in a heartbeat (disappointingly a lot of the temples are being renovated until 2017 so you cant see much) and wouldnt stay anywhere else - best hotel in 2 weeks in Japan!

"Nice hotel with great staff"
The hotel is located right on the river and is sandwiched by beautiful mountains. The building exterior looks a little old, but it is very clean and well-maintained inside. The staff are very courteous and did a great job in making our stay a wonderful one. The food was very good and there was plenty of it. The hot springs are very nice, and massage was really good as well. I will definitely visit again.

This was a very nice hotel, close to the temples at Nikko. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Had a nice but small indoor/outdoor onset. Rooms were a bit old and tired. Beds were very hard.

"Excellent onsens"
Love just love the rooftop onsen which has an amazing mountain view, also the other two onsens are very nice, everything was so clean. Room is alright, kind of old, but its clean. Lots of variety at breakfast. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The decor of the hotel is an eye candy, high and you can see the elevators up and down.

"Weekend relaxation away from the hustle and bustle"
Nikko is a sleepy town, but that will come in handy for many visitors weary of the pace adopted in Tokyo. A day trip will be sufficient to see Nikko as there is not much to see - however if you want to relax, this is a good hotel to stay a night in.

Nikko is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Nikko, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Nikko hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
