We met 30 or so family members for an older generation birthday and this place catered to all ages. Santo provided great service at check in and got us an upstairs room with two double beds a trundle and a day bed that could have slept 5. The room was very clean, the choices of restaurants was decent, the beach bar served amazing and fresh coconut and pineapple drinks. The bartender there, Juan from Boca Chica, had a great manner (and smile) and made virgin versions of fun drinks for the kids including an amazing mud slide they all loved. The local vendor next door (JC Peny - no relation to the US Store) held a cute shop with negotiable prices and I scored a massage from Yoselin for a song - and she was strong. We got some cute dresses and bracelets for souvenirs in the shop. We settled on the Mexican restaurant in the resort every night because the manager knew my family was hard to please and agreed to get us anything from any kitchen in his location so we didn't have to jump around for each family member - that's the amazing service I like. Great place that is very affordable for a large family of 5 to 50. The only thing is that the rooms are VERY far apart unless planned as a group and the property from highway to beach is so far they use little trains/trams to move folks around. Too far to walk quickly.

It is a pleasant place to stay for a few days for a moderate vacation. Its beach is probably located at the best section of Playa Dorada. All staff are nice. Food is ok given that it is all inclusive. This resort is one of the biggest ones in the area but is still small comparing to resorts I've been in other Caribbean countries.

This is 2nd time my family stayed at this resort and we like it very much. Even with US Holiday for the week Nov 21-27 we could always find a place at restaurants, gym, spa, tennis courts, pool, beach, bar and nightly show. Buildings are very colorful and are kept in very good shape. Over 2 these stays I see improvements in many places - pool beds were replaced with improved model, some rooms were outfitted with Samsung 32" Smart TVs, WiFi is now free and reception is good. WiFi allows up to 3 devices per room. I felt welcomed at the gym doing my aerobics in front of a mirror. I took tennis lessons for every day of my stay and even a rainy day was not a problem. The tennis coach named Pablo would clear water from the painted, concrete surface with a broom. On Wednesday nights the lobby and the plaza is filled with local merchants so kids can pick some necklaces or bracelets to buy. There are few shops at the lobby and I could pay with US$ for stuff like playing cards, swimming gear, sun lotions. Expedia representative named Wendy can reserve some outings or excursions, but can also help find a doctor or a dentist if a need arises. At 12:30 PM everyday they prepare some local seafood dish at the beach for a crowd and I very much liked a local version of paella.
