"Excellent hotel on the beach. Grounds look perfect"
Food was phenomenal on both adults only and the few places we tried on the family side. Staff was great, especially the activities guy and leader of bingo! Grounds were meticulously maintained to perfect but staff was never in the way/hardly visible. Both pool and ocean areas were kept clean and comfortable.

Arrived at the hotel and was greeted with a Majectic drink which was very nice. It only took a few minutes to check in. A little language barrier with check in. The room was big and spacious as well as very clean. There are lots of activities and the staff is very friendly. If you have a weak stomach, be careful not over eat and drink as there are plenty of food and drinks available all the time. Hector and Jose helped with our recursion and shopping. Love them. Had an awesome time.

My husband and I went for our 5th year anniversary and it was lovely. Lots of options for you to eat, among having the buffet restaurants they had I believe over 5 restaurants that were really good too. The bartenders were really nice and friendly and so was the staff. Everyone was always in a happy and good mood. My husband booked us the Privileged suite so we got some nice amenities with that too. Overall, if I were to come back I would come back to this hotel. It's also children friendly which was nice to see since I have two kids of my own and I would want to being them here. Beach was very pretty, lots of seating every where but would get full sometimes because everyone wanted to be at the beach and why would you not? One semi minor thing was sometimes house keeping would take a while to get to our room but overall amazing experience!

Excellent Location in the heart of San Juan. Fun to stay in an old building in the middle of the city. I expected the room to be a little rundown because it's an older building but still expected better. It was a budget room with lumpy pillows, bad bed and rundown look. I gave them a three because of location, nice staff and clean. Also very noisy because of city location so bring ear plugs.

El Convento is, in a word, the most unique hotel in PR. Not only does it offer guests comfort and elegance, but it provides the opportunity to become part of Old San Juan not offered by its "brass and glass" competitors. Our room overlooked a small plaza with a perfect view of the cathedral. Sightseeing, walking and shopping were a joy, because we were in the heart of the old city!
Applause is due the manager, Mr. Arroyo. His staff is well-trained in its duties, polite, professional and efficient. There was always a greeting and a word of welcome, and among the lovely amenities is the Manager's afternoon wine and cheese cocktail where excellent Spanish manchego and elegant cava, among other wines and cheeses, await the hotel's guests.
A stay at El Convento is the perfect way to see inside the true heart of Puerto Rico.
