"First class breakfast"
Included in my £61 for one night was a first class excellent buffet breakfast. Any type of breakfast you could want you could have and all cooked very well, with attentive staff. It was a good quality hotel with a 24 hour reception so you don't have worry about your plane arriving late and turning up to a closed hotel. It was located within walking distance of the harbour, all the tourist areas, and the bus station.

The staff were outstanding - welcoming, friendly, helpful. The rooms and the hotel were kept impeccably clean. Wonderful hotel. The position is perfect for Chania too - lovely views and quieter end of town.

"Really lovely hotel"
Myself and partner just stayed one night in chania but we couldn't have chosen better for our accommodation. Modern room with balcony overlooking town, super clean, very personable front desk girl and great buffet breakfast. Highly recommended.

"Awesome Quirky Little Place!!!"
Enjoyed this little traditional hotel in the center of the old town so much want to return in June with my kids (adult)! I arrived on a late flight from Athens after traveling straight thru from Cali, starving, and was concerned about the front desk waiting for me, however, no problem! George walked down to the "square" and met me at my taxi! When, I told him that I was "starving" as we passed a restaurant which was already closed he asked them to serve me and they did! Best darn restaurant I ate at in Chania :) The following morning their, apparent, sister property (Ifigenia) arranged a rental car for me to drive to see the exquisite Elafonisi beach. The property as George described it to me is 400-500 years old and one needs to keep this is mind with all that entails! Also, the noise from night clubs across the bay could disturb some who are looking for quiet luxury! This would NOT be your kinda place! However, if you are looking for a very cool "traditional" experience and a fabulous deck/view within the absolute heart of the old village with super friendly, helpful, folks...this is absolutely the place for you! I can't wait to return....yassas!

"The best boutique hotel in Greece"
My daughter and I stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel is tucked away in one of the charming alleys in Old Chania. Quiet and serene. We loved our stay. Maria, who works the front desk, is a beautiful soul where nothing is too much trouble. She is so welcoming and kind, you become instant friends. The room we had was on the ground floor with doors that opened out into a little courtyard for us to take our breakfast. Leah, who serves breakfast each morning is so friendly and easy to talk to. A beautiful soul. The breakfast menu is simple - Greek yoghurt, seasonal fruits, breads, meats and cheeses or bruschetta freshly made each morning. We so enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the Ionas.

"Perfect location , one street up from the old port"
I loved this hotel. It's perfectly located across from 2 fantastic restaurants and in the center of old town in Chania. There is a beautiful rooftop that is shared and overlooks the harbour. The hotel itself is one street away from the harbour and our room had windows with small balconies overlooking the streets. The hotel is eclectic but that's what made it so charming. I would 100% go back.

Staff were super friendly, making us feel very welcome. Room and building have lots of character. In centre of old town so great for shopping and bars but not in a noisy street itself:-)

Chania Old City is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Chania Old City, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Chania Old City hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
