From the moment we walked in to the hotel reception just after midnight, we were greeted with cheerful and helpful staff. In the restaurants (three of them) they greet you warmly and the choices in each were endless. By the pool is a beach bar with the friendliest barmaid, on the beach the bar and pizza hut both make your stay perfect with good English speaking staff.

It was probably one of the best hotel stays I've ever had! The room was kept tidy always and the staff welcomed you every morning with a smile. They provided activities and music throughout the day at the pool which kept things entertaining throughout your stay. They even provided evening activities that were free of charge as well. They had three different pools and a great spot to sit on the ocean as well. I would highly recommend this to a friend.

Stayed at Athens Gate and was not disappointed. Hotel is very convenient to Plaka district, the Acropolis, Temple of Zeus, the new Acropolis museum, restaurants and shopping. Check in was fast and easy, staff were helpful and buffet breakfast has lots of variety. The view from the rooftop is awesome. Rooms are spacious with nice wood floors and bathroom has a deep tub great for soaking. The elevators are small and a tight squeeze for 4 people. The walls are thin that you can literally hear people's conversation.Other than that we really enjoyed our stay in Athens Gate.

Stayed 5 nights in May on our first - and very enjoyable - visit to Athens. Hotel nicely decorated, very clean and staff were all very pleasant, polite and helpful. Hotel is convenient for Acropolis & Temple of Zeus (opposite), and very close to area of Plaka. In fact, we found it to be well situated for access to most of the city, and there is a tour bus stop nearby. Plus, it has a lovely roof-top breakfast room/restaurant/bar with fabulous views, particularly beautiful when lit at night. Also has swimming pool with terrace, although unfortunately no nice views from here.
