The hotel is just across the street from Hadrian's Arch and the Temple of Zeus, and about half a mile away from the Acropolis. Pretty much any window on this hotel will have a decent view, and it's an easy walk to tourist areas.
The staff was absolutely amazing. The concierge helped us book several excursions, was able to make dinner recommendations with food allergy considerations, and they all speak great English.
The rooftop restaurant is where the hotel really shines. We had breakfast there every morning, and there was enough variety that we never got sick of it. The restaurant has a clear view of the acropolis from all but about 3 or 4 tables, and those tables have a good view of the Temple of Zeus. We ate dinner there one night, and it was a bit pricey (€110 for two), but it was well worth the price. Everything was delicious.
I really can't imagine staying anywhere else in Athens now.

My wife and I can't say enough great things about Rocabella! When we go back to Santorini this will certainly be the place we stay and have recommended it to many friends and family. We love the seclusion Rocabella provided since it is between Fira and Oia but loved the ability to walk into town and enjoy the shopping and food. The views are absolutely breathtaking and the hotel ambiance was spectacular. We would start our day off with an incredible breakfast provided by the hotel and can't say enough good things about the staff. Konstantino's made sure every one of our needs and expectations were met. He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was spectacular. You will not find a better hotel host in the business! We highly recommend grabbing a pre dinner cocktail while watching the sunset and then enjoy a world class dinner. Great times were had!

Elena Hotel was just inside the pedestrian area of Mykonos town. It was an easy walk, almost straight line, with a few wobbly bits, to the port area. This is important because the beautifully paved laneways do go off in all directions and it is easy to get lost. The whitewashed buildings are stunning in the summer light. While quite an expensive island it is really worth a visit even if you are a " mature" couple. The incredible archaeological site on the nearby island of Delos is worth a visit, in fact it is the reason we went to Mykonos in the first place.
