We enjoyed the Rimrock hotel: the primrose resteurant for supper and brunch breakfast. Our last day we enjoyed our massages at the spa. We saw other sites Banff offered.

"Sad to see neglect with time at this property"
I have been staying at hidden Ridge for 25 years I was there when it was just the A-frames and the small central hot tub. I go to to three times per year to ski and hike I also organize reunions are on an annual bases with large groups of people. The property itself is beautiful it's location can't be beat. The staff were very good and helpful and humanities are fine. My concern is regarding the neglect the interior and in particular the furnishings of the rooms have received since they've been built. The appliances are far too small and many of the parts are generally broken or out of repair. They should've been replaced years ago. The beds well advertised as queen size are often very narrow and have become lumpy and uncomfortable overtime and again also need to be replaced. I will continue to go to this property several times per year because I just love its location I hope they make these improvements so that the hotel can live up to its otherwise excellent standard.

"One of the most beautiful locations!"
Hotel is in an excellent location close to town(walking distance) but still hidden in nature. Beautiful trails for hiking all around. Only complaint is the hotel restaraunts were over priced and not that good. You would expect quality food at such a quality hotel. Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was amazing!

"Ordinary...nothing else!"
The hotel is old and needs a revamp! The staff were nice but nothing out of the ordinary and the rooms were ok and clean. I could have stayed at a much nicer hotel for 20$ more a night which I would have done if I would have known a little more about the hotel. Location is great, rooms were clean and it served the purpose for sleep only. I wouldn't stay there if you looking looking for a nice experience. I was disappointed by the hotel as the pictures showed a much better image than it really was. Everything was very ordinary and I probably won't stay there on my next trip. If you are looking for a hotel to crash after a great day in the outdoors then I would recommend this affordable option, otherwise, spend the extra 20$ /night.

"Great hotel very short walk to town"
Ticked all the boxes we needed very easy to walk to all the shops and sights. As an english person I missed the kettle for tea but got round this using the microwave to heat water. Had everything we needed and enjoyed the jacuzzi which was empty most of the time.Beds were comfy and tea coffee and toiletries were renewed every day.

"Nice basic hotel, but some surprises"
Standard rooms do not have AC, so it got pretty hot at night(80 degrees) with no real way to cool down the room. We tried leaving the window open and the fan, but it was not enough. I was not aware when booking. Also parking is first come first serve with not enough spaces. We parked on the street first few nights.

Falcon Crest Lodge by CLIQUE

"Nice hotel close to good restaurants and things to"
This lodge is an excellent value for the amenities offered -- convenient location, underground heated parking, internet access, hot tub, and knowledgeable representatives who can tell you about the local area. We booked a one bedroom suite with a queen bed and was upgrded to a king bed. We were very pleased with the room. Our room was a large suite with a couch, fireplace, and small breakfast table that can seat four. Our room also had a full kitchen equiped with a refrigerator, dish washer, and sink. Our bathroom was roomy and had a washer/dryer in the closet. This was a bonus since we were able to do our laundry at night after hiking. We found a great tapas place for dinner, delicious ice cream in an old school bus, and a cozy place for breakfast the next morning. There was one small glitch at check-in which was why I did not give a 5 star rating to Falcon Crest. We got to the lodge at 3:30 pm, about 30 minutes before the official check-in time, hoping to use the flexible check-in benefits with Expedia Silver and get a load of laundry in before dinner, but our room was not ready. They said it would be 5-10 minutes longer so we waited.... 40 minutes later, the room was still being cleaned and my wife became increasingly impatient ... so we changed our plans and went to kill time before going back to our room to relax. The bigger bed was a nice gesture but not having the room ready at check in was very disappointing and frustrating.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
