"very nice and cool hotel! a few deatails missing"
the hotel was great! a few littel problems which could easly be solved: the heater did not worked well probebly due to the fancy central heating, after complaing thery offer us to switch rooms. also there was no kettel for warm water in the room allthough there were twa bags in our room, we had to order the from room service. later on while check out they told us that in all other rooms there is a kettel and cancelled the room service charge. exept that we were very happy whith the hotel, service was great!

"Nice hotel close to everything"
The room was fully equipped and had a balcony with a nice view. The breakfast buffet had a big choice of almost everything. The hotel staff was very polite and keen to help us. Nearby there is lots of shops, theatres, some of the sites and restaurants. Very central location.highly recommended.

"Unique decor, spotty wifi"
Great hotel. Loved the decor and the huge shower (we had a handicap accessible room for some reason). Room was comfortable and clean. Staff was friendly. Only complaint is the wifi. You needed a separate code for each device and you had to log in all over again every time you left the hotel and returned, or turned off a device, or even just didn't use it for very long.

"The perfect place stay"
This was a last minute booking and you normally get less with city break hotels, as it's more about the location. However, Dear Hotel was an incredible surprise. Perfectly located on the Gran Via, but equally well equipped with its relaxed, modern, clean decor. It was just a perfect place to be. The Hotel even comped us to the top floor for a room with a balcony, which overlooked their beautiful city. The only downside to the hotel, was the leaving it behind. The staff were warm and welcoming. They even left me a birthday message in my room, which was so genuine and heartfelt, it's a memory that will stay with me. The Dear Hotel is an ideal location too. Located in the hub of Gran Via, everything is just a walk away. Great Bars, Restaurants and cafes, all very well priced and all very welcoming. And by exploring the city by foot you really get to soak up the city's vibrant and colourful mix. A must see is the Plaza Mayor... there's such a rich variety and something for everyone. The only money we wasted were on the tourbus tickets, as don't get to see the real Madrid on top of an expensive bus. Such was the effect of Madrid and its people, my wife and I are planning to visit in the summer and we'll be staying at the Dear Hotel. Quite simply, one the best hotels Ive ever stayed in. It really is in my top 3!! So, if you visit Madrid, stay at the Dear Hotel... you wont regret it!

"It was a bit noisy. "
Early in the morning we couldn't sleep because it was a lot of noisy. By the staff preparing the rooms fo the next guests. At one point we were having a shower and staff walked in to the room to see if they could clean the room. We didn't hear any knocking. Breckfast was great even if we were late for it it was always plenty of good choices. They serve until 11:00am.

"Close to everything!"
We are a family of four. This place was perfect for our needs. Perfect amount of space for a family of 4... It is spacious, bright and functional. The only few negatives I can come up with are that they need to provide a bigger bar of soap, and in the kitchen when we tried to cook breakfast, there is no paper at all (napkins or paper roll) so we had to go buy and there is absolutely no utensils to flip your eggs. Temperature of apartment is adjustable but still in the cooler side in the bathrooms. We loved the towel warmers and the showers. On the 3rd day our key was deactivated and had to go downstairs. They apologized and said it was done accidentally. We would definitely stay here again in Madrid.

"Highly Recommend Totem"
We have just returned from a weekend in Madrid and had a fabulous stay at Totem. A well designed Boutique Hotel in a fashionable district that ticks all the boxes without breaking the bank. The staff were welcoming and helpful and the room, although compact, had everything that we could need. I have no hesitation in saying we would happily stay again.

Madrid is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Madrid, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Madrid hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
