"Hotel decent distance away from UMass Amherst "
We had our adult son with us for our daughters graduation weekend but was only allowed 2 room keys not 3. This was an inconvenience because we were not always together. We stayed 2 nights and our room was not made up after overnight stay. We left the room by 130pm and they never returned to our room to replace towels or make beds. Considering it was a minimum 2 night stay, we expected at least that. We also had to go to the front desk ourselves for extra towels. We paid over $400 for 2 nights but received minimal service, if any at all. We stayed cheaper/night in Caribbean resorts with more service.

"Meets basic needs"
The rates for this hotel were acceptable. The room was relatively clean, although we did find something under the edge of the bed, that should have been disposed of if it had been cleaned properly....The hotel is centrally located to dining and movies, also easy access to other areas. If you stay on the first floor you can drive up to your room which is convenient. They accept pets which is a plus if travelling with your furry friends. The only thing they could've done better in my opinion, was to have a hot tub/pool and offer breakfast.

"It is what it is.. A hotel in Downtown Springfield"
I needed a decent hotel in Springfield with a pool, and this lived up to my expectations. The room was clean and comfortable, although the public areas were dated and a bit musty smelling. The pool is 20 yards long and well maintained, large enough to get in a good swim workout on the road. They must allow pets to my dissatisfaction. The people in the room next to me had their yappy dogs with them. My one pet peeve (no pun intended) is a barking dog in the middle of the night. Its the whole reason I quit living in suburbia and moved to a no pets condo. Anyway, when the dogs weren't yapping, the owners were trying to shush the dogs to keep them from yapping. Had I known that pets were allowed, I would have insisted on a room away from the pet owners.

Very nice small hotel. It feels almost European. The breakfast was simple, but adequate and the breakfast area cozy and invited conversation.

"Hard to complain about a $50 room"
Lots to recommend about this motel: halfway between Holyoke and Northampton, about 4 miles each direction on a main road, but up on a small "mount", not right on the road. The low price came with 2 queen size, comfortable beds, free Internet, a decent bathroom, a little closet, a desk, an eating table, and a little fridge. The owner was very nice; he lives above the office. On the other end, the heating system -- though adjustable -- noisily cycled on and off every 15 minutes, no exaggeration, my entire stay. The television didn't work (just as well). And the electrical outlet next to the eating table got funky as soon as I tried to plug another appliance (my phone) into it, turning both the lamp and my phone off. That made me nervous about the wiring. But there were no other signs of problems, to be clear. I didn't get a chance to discuss this with the owner, since it was already late and I left early in the morning. I wouldn't be surprised if he had moved me or taken care of it, to be fair. But this is why I'm not giving higher scores relative to the price I paid for my stay.

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Hatfield, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Hatfield hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
