"A charming affordable place in a great location."
Very nice small hotel. It feels almost European. The breakfast was simple, but adequate and the breakfast area cozy and invited conversation.

"It is what it is.. A hotel in Downtown Springfield"
I needed a decent hotel in Springfield with a pool, and this lived up to my expectations. The room was clean and comfortable, although the public areas were dated and a bit musty smelling. The pool is 20 yards long and well maintained, large enough to get in a good swim workout on the road. They must allow pets to my dissatisfaction. The people in the room next to me had their yappy dogs with them. My one pet peeve (no pun intended) is a barking dog in the middle of the night. Its the whole reason I quit living in suburbia and moved to a no pets condo. Anyway, when the dogs weren't yapping, the owners were trying to shush the dogs to keep them from yapping. Had I known that pets were allowed, I would have insisted on a room away from the pet owners.

"Meets basic needs"
The rates for this hotel were acceptable. The room was relatively clean, although we did find something under the edge of the bed, that should have been disposed of if it had been cleaned properly....The hotel is centrally located to dining and movies, also easy access to other areas. If you stay on the first floor you can drive up to your room which is convenient. They accept pets which is a plus if travelling with your furry friends. The only thing they could've done better in my opinion, was to have a hot tub/pool and offer breakfast.

"College visit with daughter"
Stayed here over night in room with two double beds with daughter before college info session and tour. Finding our way into the hotel's underground parking was difficult do to construction but we finally found it. Plenty of spaces, and you get a parking permit to use when you leave so that parking is free. DO NOT park anywhere else on campus without getting another permit from the Parking Services office (next to hotel entrance) or you WILL get a $40 ticket. You enter into a busy student dining area and go up one floor in the elevator to check in. Lobby on second floor is under construction right now. Check-in staff was great. Room was clean and comfortable, though not very spacious. Had room service for dinner; my salad was delicious, but they brought my daughter the wrong dish, so lift the lids on your tray BEFORE the server leaves your room. Hotel is incredibly quiet, excellent sound proofing. But sleeping with window open was impossible due to constant high pitched mechanical whine outside, sounded like air conditioning compressors. Free breakfast the next morning was very basic, and poorly maintained....no ice water, no decaf, trashcan running over, too bad. Check out the next morning was easy

"Nice, convenient, low-budget hotel near town"
Don't be fooled by the outdated drab exterior. For the budget-conscious, this is a perfectly suitable place to stay while visitng Northampton. One of the only hotels that isn't a chain outlet or in the middle of a mall-like parking lot. Everything works well. It's clean. Staff are friendly. "Continental" breakfast is more than expected, with a very nice dining room, 24hr coffee/water/tea, and a massive 100+ year old fireplace. My window looked out on flowering trees and an old copper-roofed mansion rather than onto a parking lot or wall of a downtown building. It's cheap, you get one key for the room, the locks work, the heating works, the windows open, the bathrooms are clean, the water pressure is great. Cable TV, a printer/computer station available, wifi, in-room safe, comfortable beds. I stayed 2 nights.

Amherst is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Amherst, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Amherst hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
