Staff was so w6oderful, down to earth, and professional. Room small and not so clean. Grout in bathroom dirty, bed skirt stained, and just overall didn't meet my cleanliness standards at all ,especially if its supposed to be one of top rated hotels in Portland. Also lots of drugy transients around hotel ouside. The Urban Farmer restaurant was yummy on the 8th floor. Overall the experience was just ok. Staff made up for hotel disappointment.

I loved the location of this hotel it was walking distance to everything. The room itself was clean and the bed was amazing.. I could've stayed in bed all day it was super comfy. The only down fall was we had no mini fridge nor microwave but other than that we had a great stay.

Hotel was walking distance to university events, lots of restaurants and Whole Foods is across the street. Shuttle from Portland Airport picks up and delivers 2 blocks away. Plenty of hotels in neighborhood, Campus Inn is not on main drag, so it's quieter setting. Good value.

We were very happy with the Valley River Inn. The lobby and dining room were beautiful. Any complaints in the reviews about the cost of the restaurant seem a bit unwarranted and discount the fact that it is a very nice restaurant that overlooks the river. The pool area was great and the kids loved it. I would suggest they buy a few more umbrellas for shade out there. We found our room to be clean and comfortable. The A/C worked well and the deck overlooking the pool was very nice.

If you want a pleasant place to stay for the night but don't want to spend a lot of money then this is for you. It's not perfect, it's not new, it's not fancy. If these things are important to you then you'll need to find another hotel and pay a lot more. This hotel is equivalent to hotels like Quality Inn and La Quinta but better than Days Inn in general.

The location was very convenient. The noise of the airplanes taking off in the middle of the night was annoying. The food at the continental breakfast was cold. The bed was very comfortable. There was plenty of parking.
