Nice room spoiled by noisy air con ,all bathroom fittings loose towel rail soap holder toilet roll holder.Room was at front of hotel which has 2 pubs and a nightclub opposite very noisy until 3 am even with windows shut.I would stay here again but I will ask for a room away from the front.Very good food, great access for shopping .

Very close to the central area. Great location.
Breakfast was nice with many options.
Staff was great.
Swimming pool is big.
Its about time carpets are changed in the room and corridors.
Its a shame that air con is on in the changing area of the swimming pool. it is very cold especially after being in the swimming pool. Not great for babies.

This hotel is in a nice, centralized location in Cardiff. It's a short walk to the waterfront quay, and very close to the best shops and restaurants of Cardiff. The only concern is that areas of the hotel are under construction.

The reception is very grand and impressive. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. We were particularly pleased with the knowledge of the area one reception staff member had which she shared with us ensuring we got the most out of our weekend. We had never been to Chester before so this was much appreciated. The room was a tad smaller than I'd hoped but was only a standard so can't be too disappointed. It was very clean and had everything in it we needed. If staying longer than 3 nights however a bigger room would be better.
The restaurant and bar were also very pleasing, with wide selection of meals and nice wines.
The gardens were pleasant although there were 3 weddings taking place across the 3 nights we stayed and they take up some of the garden area. They also made breakfast quite busy!!
We also used the spa facilities which were very impressive. The sauna was out of use but this didn't bother us.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

I got this hotel for an amazing price but stayed here many years ago - I must say it now looks very tired and the general appearance around the corridors and reception area is rather unkempt and in need of some much needed updating. My stay was great - clean spacious room but even the pool area felt cramped and dated.

A lovely hotel with great view over the beach and sea, Car parking a couple of minutes away and only £5 per 24-hours (Oct 2016).
Our room rate included breakfast, ful cooked breakfast available as well as cereals and fruit.
The hotel is also only a 5-minute walk from the town centre with a great choice of pubs & restaurants close by.
All staff we met were friendly and helpful (I would assume the owners were quite hands-on - I think they were our points of contact during check-in, check-out and at breakfast).
No hesitation in recommending.

Room was very clean. Beds and pillows very comfortable. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Our room overlooked the road but we couldn't hear it at all. We could hear some other guests but it wasn't overly annoying- seemed to be one family who perhaps were less considerate of other people! Overall, the stay was good and extremely good value for what we paid. Breakfast had plenty of choices (but no bacon!). We'd be happy to stay again.
