Room small but adequate. However outlook was dreadful. Fortunately we were visiting friends so did not require to be in the room for any length of time.
We would have requested another room if we had been staying longer.
Understand all standard rooms have this outlook and a upgrade is necessary for the views. Disgraceful that paying £100 is not enough to ensure a decent view. As you know this hotel is advertised mostly relating to the magnificent grounds.

Staff welcoming, and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and freshly cooked. We had to change rooms as we added another day to our stay and the staff moved our packed bags for us, while we were out enjoying ourselves. So they were in the new rooms when we returned after a day out.

This is a very warm and friendly family run hotel. Under new management, nothing was too much trouble, happy atmosphere. We had the last room available so wasn't what we would have chosen, never the less we were happy to be there and would certainly stay again in the future. Breakfast good and plenty of it. no complaints at all.
