Although our stay was pleasurable I was somewhat disappointed that some of our party were made to pay for breakfast whereas others were given a complimentary breakfast. They did give us a discount of £2 per person but I felt that this was not acceptable and I was disappointed that despite having 9 room bookings they couldn't throw in breakfast

The hotel was lovely we got checked in easily and found our rooms. We had a travel cot set out for our son which wasnt the cleanest (for a baby to be in anyway) but the shower an the bed were ideal for ourselves (21yr olds) however my aunt who was staying a few rooms over found the beds far to soft for her back (so maybe a few rooms with different matterasess for the older generation) the next morning we when down for brakefast (pre paid for) an found it very unconfortable the computer system hadnt got down our paid for brakefast so the first 5 10 minuets the staff were trying to get us to repay. Leaving our money in our rooms we agreed to sort it after we had eaten as the baby was hungry. I couldnt enjoy my food as i felt constantly watched by the staff who were lingering around like we where the Dingles about to take off. It got to the point that i left brakefast mid way to sort it all out getting my booking info up on my emails to prove our inasence once cleared up i couldnt finish my food as it had just put me off. The second morning at brakfast the paper work was alread sorted but the food wasnt as good their wasnt much of anything and empty containers werent being replaced with fresh they then finished breckfast early ( 10 30 when we where told 12 at check in) with out worning causing us to finish our food rushed. Other then the restrant the hotel itself was lovely they could have times written out in rooms explaining meal times an check out times.

I stayed at Patshull Park on business from Mon - Fri in April 2017.
Initially there was a problem with my booking which they thought had been cancelled, but this was quickly sorted out and the original booking rate was honoured. The lady on check-in was most helpful and very friendly. In fact all the staff throughout the stay were excellent, nothing was too much trouble.
The room was basic, but clean. I was given a triple room with a double and a single bed, so the size of the room was ok. The bathroom was a bit tired with the shower being run from mixer taps and was a bit lacking. The view from the room was okay, directly in front was a large bush which screened the hotel from the golf course, but towards the right there was a view of the golf course which was quite pleasant.
The hotel bar was reasonable. As a craft Ale fan there was very little to get excited about, a couple of traditional ales and a variety of lagers mostly. Prices were expensive for the area (£4.10 a pint). The lounge bar was open from 12:00 - 18:30, this large space felt devoid of atmosphere and was mostly empty when I visited. From 18:30 the evening bar by the restaurant opened. This was a lot more welcoming and laid back, with the same selection of bar food and drinks as the lounge bar.
Breakfast was excellent but the bar food was a bit hit and miss. The battered haddock was over cooked, hard and dry. The burger was decent though.
At £55 per night Patshull Park was excellent value!
