"Great new option A Fresh Place to stay"
As a native Pittsburgher going back for a visit I almost defaulted to the traditional hotel. This was rec by a friend and with spec winter rates I gave it a try - also based on reviews. It was a great place and an unexpected find in Pgh! Very fun decor - all in good shape - nothing tired or fraying. Staff very accommodating. i was on 9th fl..couldn't fig out what a ladies room in the hall until i realized a biergarten up there in summer..so don't knowi would want a 9th floor room in warm weather with people moving thru to get to roof bar. all was just fine and i would absolutely stay there again. Not stodgy.

"Felt like home"
This hotel was clean, comfortable, spacious, and had all the amenities to make you feel like you never left home. The staff was extra courteous and ready to help at any point. The neighborhood is perfect - Shadyside was a walkable two blocks away. Loved that you could park your own car, the apartment feel of each suite (which was so cutely decorated), and the coffee/tea/computer bar a few floors away was perfect so we didnt have to face the cold super early in the morning. I think I found my favorite hotel in Pittsburgh. Thanks Shadyside inn!

"Fantastic!!!!!"
The location in downtown Pittsburgh cannot be beat! It's literally across an easily crossbow street from Consol Energy Stadium! The area seems very safe, well lit and clean. The hotel room was amazingly clean with a great microwave, fridge and keurig. The beds were comfy and the fitness center and pool were great.

"weekend staycation"
Wanted to get away without traveling far..so we picked a hotel in the City that was a good location with nice amenities. The room was tiny, but comfortable for two people. We used the pool and hot tub, but not as much as we wanted because the hot tub had hair and dirty foam all over the perimeter. Also, there was so much chlorine in the hot tub our eyes were burning as soon as we got near it. The bar was kind of lame and expensive. The hotel has a 'dog concierge' which was neat; a beautiful, friendly husky. Valet parking was our only option and it was $30 a night which was expensive for this area. It was also $20+ a night for a microwave and/or mini fridge which was a little ridiculous. The front desk girls could not answer any of our questions.

"Great location, good facilities"
The hotel is in a very convenient place. The fitness area was nice, as was the pool. The room was small, but comfortable, and the hotel internet was extremely fast. There was a small stain on our carpet, but no major mess. They do charge extra for parking, but any downtown hotel will charge. If you have business at the universities or the hospital, this is probably the best place to stay.

    Explore Pittsburgh

Once a gritty city of steel mills and smokestacks, Pittsburgh has completely transformed. Today, the 'burgh is one of America's most livable cities, with hilly neighborhoods, a beautified waterfront and leafy parks. Heaps of university students ensure cutting-edge culture, an eclectic dining scene and buzzing nightlife.

Start exploring at riverfront Point State Park, with fine views of the city. Delve into the past at the Heinz History Center and the Fort Pitt Museum. Then cross the river to the North Side to visit the amazing Andy Warhol Museum. The prolific pop artist was born in Pittsburgh (and is buried here too). Also on the North Side are the National Aviary and the restored row houses of the Mexican War Streets. If it's baseball season, catch a Pirates game at PNC Park.

In Oakland, check out mummies and dinosaur bones at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History and admire rare orchids in the Phipps Conservatory. Don’t miss the Southside, with its Victorian-lined streets, colorful boutiques and lively restaurants and bars.
