"Nice hotel in good location but away from Crowds. "
It's a shame this hotel isn't overlooking the sea then it would have been perfect. However it's only a short walk from the sea and on a direct bus route and within a 20 minute stroll to old city. The staff were pleasant, helpful and efficient. The buffet breakfast was excellent and resturant staff outstanding. The pool area is nice and relaxing with plenty of loungers. The only negative was we didn't find the housekeeping very thorough. They rarely left tea and coffee and cleaning was superficial. In spite of this we had a very comfortable stay.

"Nice stay with great pool and beach options"
Beautiful setting, nice patios, pools are well-appointed, breakfast is decent. Would like a fresh omelette station. The corner non-view rooms are horrible. Do not book these. They feel as though they were supposed to be part of the storage suite and they converted them to rooms. Claustrophobic. Staff were fairly pleasant, although not overly helpful. Bar options really need to be improved - i.e. only one whiskey choice and no bourbon? Only sweet wines, nothing dry. Very odd for bars that are aesthetically appealing. Requires a taxi to get to the main part of town. Ride costs about 10-12 USD one way. Try Uber. More positive experiences than taking local taxi arranged by the hotel.

"Lovely boutique hotel close to city"
This is a small, personal boutique hotel within easy reach of the walled city of Dubrovnik. From the moment we arrived the lovely concierge made us feel very welcome and could not do enough for us - & this was typical of the whole staff. The hotel is quiet & small with a feeling of tranquility. We were lucky enough to have a room upgrade & were delighted with the facilities & fantastic views over the city. The food in the restaurant was superb & a pleasant change to the usual fare throughout the country. There is only one issue, which is why we have marked the overall rating down. The hotel management insist on taking bookings for weddings in the gardens and bookings in the restaurant for large groups, which are not for guests staying in the hotel. This meant the peace of the gardens was shattered on 2 of our afternoons by large wedding parties, which forced us to retire to our room & we could not eat in the restaurant for 2 evenings as there were large groups which would have spoilt the lovely peaceful setting. The hotel manager was very apologetic & understanding & dealt with us appropriately and assured us that this issue is being dealt with for the future. This is a very, very expensive hotel by Croatian standards & would justify the price if it ticked all the boxes, but before booking I would check with the hotel that there are no weddings in the garden or large groups booked into the restaurant.

"Amazing hotel a couple of minutes form old town"
This hotel is the best of both worlds .The rooms are very big with great bathrooms. The A.C. was fantastic and they have Ice Machines on each floor!!! And the Location was the best thing only a couple of minutes from the gate to the city with tour info at the square diagonally across the street. They even fixed us box breakfasts as we checked out at 5:30 am. All I can say is stay here, you won"t be disappointed in any way.

"Lovely hotel!"
Lovely hotel, one of three hotels on the resort. valamar president hotel has a beach (gravel) you can also use. The pool at the Lacroma is so beautiful and peaceful. Hotel is close to a bus stop (15kuna) to get into the old town. It's only 50m walk. Breakfast had EVERYTHING never had a breakfast like it before. Really really impressed. If travelling to the old town, there is a restaurant by Pile Gate called Dubravka. It's amazing. You can book online then confirm the booking on the day and you have lovely views of kings landing. We did a trip to Mostar which was beautiful. You are in an air conditioned bus for a few hours but it's well worth it. You stop at a waterfall on the way which you are allowed to swim in; then carry on over to Bosnia and have a small walking tour (30 mins) then the time is your own for a few hours. Well worth it. Book you trips in the "shops and restaurants" bit of the resort. We never booked through the hotel. There is a small tourist shop and they were amazing. The lady we spoke to was Paula.

Pile is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Pile, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Pile hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
