"Quiet yet Central"
The hotel is small, yet we were comfortable there. The staff was very helpful, accommodating and pleasant. We checked in at 9am and were leaving to visit Croydon on our own. Being first time visitors, we did not know our way around. The directions given by the reception was very helpful, directing us to a nearby train station, about 5 minutes walk away. This enabled us to travel to Croydon within half an hour. We were indeed pleasantly surprised. She also helped us to call the tour company to confirm pick-up time and place for the 2nd day. Our stay was only 2 nights and the 2nd and 3rd mornings we had to leave early for a tour and the airport. Special arrangement was made to enable us to have breakfast for the 2 mornings. We were indeed pleasantly surprised as we did not receive this kind of service at a bigger hotel which we had stayed in. This very personal and pleasant service received indeed more than make up for whatever lack that was there in their facilities.

Holland Court Hotel

"Clean and small"
The Holland Court Hotel is in Kensington, London and is not the nicest part of Kensington. It is in a row of fading town houses, but the street and area seemed very safe. The hotel has been created from a former row home, so it is chopped up and the rooms, lobby, hallways, etc. are small. The room had barely enough space for the bed. Bathrooms were small too. Anyone larger than I would have had a hard time in one shower I had. I am 5'2" and not overweight by much. Since nighttime was the only time I spent at the hotel the smallness of the rooms did not bother me. The linens and bathrooms were clean. The continental breakfast was adequate and had choices. If you are looking for luxury accommodations, this is not the hotel for you. It is reasonable priced for the area and convenient to public transportation.

"Nice hotel close to gastro pubs and Olympia"
Room looked as if it had just been renovated and decorated with en suite shower room, but incredibly small, a 'larger' couple just would not have fitted in the room much less the shower! That being said, would stay there again, good breakfast friendly and helpful staff, and I am sure there are larger rooms available.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
