This is a top-of-the-line DC area hotel. It has stunning views of the city, delicious food, and elegant appointments. While you may be fortunate to get a decent room rate, other DC expenses will hit you hard, like parking, wi-fi, etc. However, the young lady behind the desk enrolled us in the Sheraton rewards program. That cut our parking in half, got us free wifi, and even a discount for Uber rides.
Despite all of the elegance and posh features, the very best part of this hotel is the staff. The counter help saved us a LOT of money daily, room service was quick and delicious, and they were so quick to run up to your room if you needed an extra towel or toothbrush or something.

I was attending the Governor's Transportation Conference Oct. 19 -21. The event was held there at the Hyatt Regency.
I reserved a room on the 17th floor which was very nice and roomy. The bed was very comfortable with nice view, The hotel employees were very friendly and accomodating.
I must say I enjoyed dining in the hotel restaurants for breakfast and dinner. The food was well prepared and very tasty.
The only complaint I have is when I arrived, i was met on the street by a valet attendant who informed me that the parking lot was full and that I would have to park in a govt. lot behind the hotel. This was very inconvenient because i had to walk back to the hotel with my luggage and lap-top.

We tried to check into the hotel at 3:00 p.m. but clerk said no rooms were ready so they would call us in about 45 minutes, at 4:30 I received a call that the front desk that our room was ready. When we arrive we looked around the room and my husband went into the bathroom to find urine spots on the toilet so we called the maid that was in the hallway and she came in and cleaned the toilet. With all the news on hotels rooms and how clean or not so clean that they are now I was wondering if we had clean linens. I tried to take a nap but the maids were talking outside of our door so that was impossible. It was our Anniversary so we went to dinner and when we returned at 10:00. At 1:00 a.m. we were awakened by the ladies in the next room talking and laughing this went on for 30 minutes. The walls are way to thin when I can make out exactly what the people our talking about in the next room we have a problem. We turned the fan on in our room to be able to go to sleep. Room was a great size and had all the amenities and great location.

The room was nice, but older. It's on a main street. The a/c heating unit was noisy. It's location to the airport is a plus, and it does offer shuttle service. Parking was easy, and it's close to many places to eat, and an outdoor shopping mall.
