"Big room convenient to everything at DC."
We had a great experience. Had read the reviews that the hotel is a little shabby. True the carpets and trims in the elevators need an update, but our room was terrific. It was giant compared to a regular DC room with a kitchen. They really are little apartments. The service was also excellent. We had a Wi-Fi problem and the manager himself came up and fixed it for us. The breakfast was good, although it ended at 9 on weekdays. Ours was included but if not, it's $6 and kids are free. I also found that Uber to DC was around $7 so could be cheaper and easier than the metro depending on the size of your party. Easy parking in and out too. We were originally disappointed that our usual hotel in DC was not available but had a great experience in Arlington at the Virginian. Especially good if you are travelling with a family and need more space.

"Room was good for short stay"
We were visiting family in North Carolina but drove up to DC for a couple of nights as I had never been to the area. We chose this hotel in Arlington because it was close to the metro and wasn't too expensive. This is clearly an older hotel that has had parts of it remodeled. The main area of our room was nice and new but the bathroom was really old and had pink tile! It was clean, though. There was no counter space at all in the bathroom so we had to put our toiletries out in the main room on the counter above the fridge. There is no microwave or coffee maker in the room which was okay for our needs. There was a small balcony off our room but the patio door was so old, we could only barely get it to open. They offer a small but decent continental breakfast and have coffee 24/7. Two of the gals working the front desk were friendly and helped us find our way around the city but two others were not very friendly at all. Our bed was super comfortable and the shower temperature and pressure was good so that made our stay pleasant for the two nights we were there, plus the room was clean. They offer a complimentary shuttle too. I don't think I would chose this hotel if staying for a longer time though. All in all, it was okay.

"Close to restaurants and the Metro."
We stayed here on an Easter visit to our nation's capitol. The hotel was well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was a good breakfast bar everyday. The coffee was very good and often available a little early for those who don't want to make their own. We had three double queen rooms with sofa beds. The sofa beds came in handing for our adult children and their family. It is often hard to find a room that fits two - four children, but these rooms were great for that. We used the metro, which is a short two blocks away. A round trip to the National Mall area cost about $4.00. The orange or silver line take you there. We took the orange line up one stop to Rosalyn and then went to Arlington cemetary. There is easy valet parking, but be sure to factor the $30 into your budget.

Arlington is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Arlington, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Arlington hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
