Our stay at the English Inn was wonderful! As two females traveling alone, we felt very safe. The rooms and all other areas of the hotel were very clean and all of the staff were friendly. Great free breakfast options too!

Nice building. The pool was clean and heated. The kids loved getting hot cocoa from the lobby before bed. The breakfast was very good and the breakfast room was nice. The befs and linens were clean and comfortable. The room was clean but could use a deep clean for the nooks and crannies. I am not a fan of bathtub showers and using a shower curtain. New showers would be a great upgrade eventually.

There was one incident that has really bother me, the first morning there we went down for breakfast, we had just settle in when a black mean that was ing the food in a very loud voice said “mam”, tm got quiet no one moved or spoke this did’t satisfy. Nnjjji

Our second visit here, and it was a nice one-night stop on our trip. The check in was easy. They provide a very nice breakfast buffet to start your day. Try the grits, delicious, so creamy.

I found the English Inn very clean and welcoming. The breakfast is quite good with many choices. The coffee is very good. The room is very clean and comfortable. Staff at the desk are responsive and helpful. The property is near restaurants and drugstores. Very conveniently located and felt very secure. I would definitely go back and I do recommend it.

Spacious rooms, good breakfast, needs updating

Very friendly staff, breakfast is a highlight, large rooms, well equipped but with very dated decor. This quiet reasonably priced hotel has a pool, exercise room, afternoon tea and cookies and an authentic Mexican restaurant across the street. It also has the first hole of a public disc golf course right behind the parking lot. A slightly overgrown walking trail also goes through there. Easy drive to UVA or downtown Charlottesville, Lower rates for long-term stays.
