"Nice hotel"
I was very impressed with this place. The staff went over and above trying to make everything perfect. The room had lots of little extras that came in handy. For example a wine corkscrew. I had the king size bed which was more than comfortable. It was very quiet. Did not hear anything.

"Nice place"
Nice place; clean, comfortable, helpful staff. We travel with our dog; not a lot of options to walk them; but still a nice place.

The only reason I give this hotel a 4 is the long wait to check in. We booked this hotel two months ago and we had a check in time of 3pm. We arrived at 2:30 and had to wait until 3pm, which was fine, however when we went back to the desk at 3pm they told us that they did not yet have a room for us or our friends. We had to sit in the lobby for another 1/2 hour. Our friends went to the desk first and they had a room for them, when I got to the desk they still had no room for my wife and I. The desk person asked another employee for assistance and after a few minutes found a room. Since checkout time is 11 am and we reserved in advance I don't see why it should have taken so long. Our experience otherwise was great. I want to commend the manager of the Pointe. One of the four of us ordered a Ribeye and it was overcooked and the waiter replaced it with another, the manager came over about four or five times asking if everything was fine, he was pleasant and he made our experience a five!.

"Quaint hotel with a great breakfast "
This is the first time we have been in Charlottesville and found this hotel is conveniently located near shops and a few restaurants. It wasn't far from the university or historic area but you have to drive there. The hotel itself is quaint in the old English style, however it can use a renovation. The bed was comfortable, the room was an average size and clean. What we didn't like was that there wasn't enough counter space in the bathroom for our toiletries. The breakfast was great with a variety of hot items in addition to the usual cold stuff. We were disappointed though that they didn't have peanut butter or any other nut butter, which is one of our favourite items.

"In center of town, historic building"
Room very large, comfortable though a little shabby. Mostly clean, though I noticed that the "condiment" package accompanying the in-room coffee maker was already open (paper torn). Food in the dining-room decent but nothing special. "field greens" in the salad I ordered were solely baby spinach & a few leaves were somewhat old-looking. Coffee in the morning was weak.

"Super-fast WiFi!"
I was staying here for business in May 2017. I just needed a clean room with hot water. This satisfied both needs. What I didn't expect was the blazing fast internet! There must be fiber in this building because it was faster than what I have at home and what I am used to at more upscale hotels.

Charlottesville is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Charlottesville, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Charlottesville hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
