Watching the sun rise, walking on the beach, going down the 3-story water slides, tubing down the lazy river, playing ping pong/shuffleboard/outdoor checkers were some of the highlights. Having a suite allowed us to cook and have meals in our room. At nighttime, we played board games and just had an overall grand time! Wonderful way to spend Thanksgiving and my birthday!!!!!

Staff is very well trained, friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Our room was well equipped and appointed, and comfortable. The hotel's location is just right for exploring the historic district and the newly developing areas north of Calhoun St. As always, the decorations in the main entrance area as Christmas approaches are handsome, cheerful and attractive.

This is a great place! Only minor problem was no shower curtain. The room was gorgeous, whole area in and around hotel beautiful and well maintained, and the restaurant superlative. Would recommend highly.

Very nice hotel on a very popular street in downtown Charleston. The staff was very nice and helpful, and the lobby was very grand. The room was clean and nice. Lots of space. ONLY complaint is that it's not closer to most of the restaurants and tour sites in town, but if you can walk approx. a mile each way, then there is no problem.
