This is the second time in two months I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, this time we drove up from midcoast in a blizzard. The hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating, the hotel is clean and spacious, great restaurant and bar, good food and a great breakfast and lunch café attached. Close to all Portland has to offer, Mercy Hospital, old port restaurants and shops, Portland international jet port and much more. I believe I will now make this hotel my stay spot when traveling to the Portland area

Clerk was courteous, motel was clean. The indoor pool listed and pictured was closed between October and June. It was the reason we chose this motel over one in Portsmouth. The room refrigerator was extremely loud. All clean and functional. TV instructions could be better. Breakfast bar was adequate, Altho cold.

The Admirals Inn was fantastic. Upon arrival, Marty greeted us and made us feel right at home and went out of his way to call all available restaurants in the area to see if they were open (we arrived at 9pm and most places closed early because of snow).
The rest of our stay was relaxing and quiet with no issues whatsoever. One area of improvement that would have put the icing on the cake would have been keeping the hottub open during the winter.

I find the beds are way too hard. And as soon as you walk in you're hit with a smell of death. I don't know what it was. It smelt like decay. However, their continental breakfast and pool is always great.

Pretty, hotel on the water, 2 minutes from downtown Bar Harbor with its many cute shops, good restaurants and fun activities.
Room: Nice sized with actual queen-sized beds (not those awful double beds). Very comfortable mattresses. The room was heated perfectly, so no waking up in the middle of the night shivering. The furnishings were attractive. The bathroom was clean, but rather small. My suggestion is to place a weather mat there by the door. We were there in February and tracked snow into the room, so that area by the door was wet and messy.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We asked for towels for the floor inside the door and a roll-away bed and they were brought to us immediately.
The balcony looked out on a beautiful view of the bay.
The hotel has more amenities than expected - nice restaurant, great indoor pool.
