The Portland Regency Hotel and Spa is outstanding in every sense. It was such a breath of fresh air compared to most hotels. From checkin to checkout, everything was first class and we were made to feel welcomed and appreciated.
The room we had was nice and roomy with a large, comfortable bath room. There was complimentary water waiting for us (and a cooler outside the hotel filled with water as we left). In addition, we were brought coffee and pastries to our room each morning (complimentary again).
We have become accustomed to the impersonal service of larger hotels, and after spending the first part of our trip at the Park Plaza in Boston, this hotel was such a marked difference. We appreciated the little touches, like the turn down and mints in the evening, fresh towels, etc.
The location was great. Very close to the water with lots of shopping and restaurants in walking distance. One night we sat outside at a charming little restaurant across from the Portland Regency. It turned out it was actually the hotel restaurant. What a great place for a late evening meal!
The shuttle service to the airport was a great help as well. It turned out my wife and I were the only ones in the shuttle, so it was like having a personal driver! That service was very much appreciated.
Overall, this is one of the more impressive places we have stayed and would absolutely stay hear again. Keep up the good work.

We stayed for 2 nights, family of 4. Breakfast was good, pool area was nice. The bathroom was a bit on the small side, and housekeeping only gave us 3 sets of towels both nights so we had to ask at the front desk for more towels which was annoying. Housekeeping also didn't replenish our toiletries on the second morning which wasn't enjoyable since we were out of soap. Overall, we would stay there again.

We were very happy with our stay at the Colonial. There were 5 of us on a girls weekend and there was plenty of room for us. Bathroom a little small but we managed. We really liked how close we were to the beach. We wish we were a little closer to town, but the walk was fine. We got to explore places on Main Street that we had never seen before because we are usually on Shore Drive.

We were very pleased with the cottage . Small but roomy enough . View of the bay was spectacular. It is located on Rte 1 so we did get traffic noise when the windows were open. A minor annoyance. Many of the cottages are away from the road so it probably doesn't affect them as much. Our biggest complaint was the king size bed. It was very firm and uncomfortable. No pool but they do have a beach.

Everything was great! The only minor thing we would suggest is to improvement the bed pillows. Both of us found them a bit too firm. Otherwise we found everything to be very clean and comfortable. We look forward to another stay.
