Location is very convenient. Hotel is VERY expensive for what it is. Prices should be half. A very average hotel charging very high prices due to location and season. Michael (valet) was very friendly and helpful. Most of the front desk reception staff weren’t the warmest.

Charming, beautifully maintained, historic hotel located in former Armory of the Maine national guard. Lovely outdoor summer dining in a small garden setting across a small rotunda, as well as within the he hotel itself. Service excellent and gracious and cleanliness seems to be impeccable. To me, a rare find today and a lovely place to stay.

The Portland Regency hotel and spa was a great hotel for our family needs. We were able to stay close together and get everywhere we wanted to go on foot. The staff were amazing and even though our flight was well after check out they still stored our luggage and shuttled us to the airport. My only recommendation would be to up the bathroom cleaning a bit. Since it is a historic building and a family run business I didn't expect the facilities to be perfect but the cleaning would really up the luxury level.

This hotel was in the perfect location for visiting Portland. Near the water, restaurants and shopping, we could not have picked a better location. The hotel spa was excellent, and there was in-hotel access to dining and drinks. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was elevated.

Very nice hotel in downtown Portland. Older but elegant with easy access to downtown eateries and harbor. Room was very nice. Old style using regular keys instead of cards. Beautiful hotel with friendly staff and nice breakfast in the restaurant. Definitely would stay again.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location is perfect. Lots of shopping and restaurants within walking distance, but a couple of blocks off the main street so there isn't too much pedestrian or car traffic in front of the hotel.
