"Can't say enough nice things"
The Portland Regency Hotel and Spa is outstanding in every sense. It was such a breath of fresh air compared to most hotels. From checkin to checkout, everything was first class and we were made to feel welcomed and appreciated. The room we had was nice and roomy with a large, comfortable bath room. There was complimentary water waiting for us (and a cooler outside the hotel filled with water as we left). In addition, we were brought coffee and pastries to our room each morning (complimentary again). We have become accustomed to the impersonal service of larger hotels, and after spending the first part of our trip at the Park Plaza in Boston, this hotel was such a marked difference. We appreciated the little touches, like the turn down and mints in the evening, fresh towels, etc. The location was great. Very close to the water with lots of shopping and restaurants in walking distance. One night we sat outside at a charming little restaurant across from the Portland Regency. It turned out it was actually the hotel restaurant. What a great place for a late evening meal! The shuttle service to the airport was a great help as well. It turned out my wife and I were the only ones in the shuttle, so it was like having a personal driver! That service was very much appreciated. Overall, this is one of the more impressive places we have stayed and would absolutely stay hear again. Keep up the good work.

"Rustic B&B"
Cute but rustic inn. Room was clean, bed was comfy. Bathroom was small but clean. Breakfast was served with scones, fruit and bagels. I liked that the welcoming area had free board games to borrow, cookies to eat. Very close to beach. Wifi was pretty bad. Great staff.

"Great B&B on a Quiet Lake"
We very much enjoyed our long weekend in Casco. Jim and Ellen were excellent hosts. We stayed in the cottage and we learned that breakfast is not included there because it has a full kitchen. No problem, there are nearby places to eat or buy groceries. The cottage is clean and comfortable, although the master bed is a bit small (full size, not queen size). There are places to sit outside and just relax. Portland is about an hour away by car. Our first night we took in a concert there. The lake is beautiful and there are lots of other waterways nearby. We had a nice kayak up the Crooked River and Jim drove us around the lake in his pontoon boat. All in all a great place to stay!

"comfortable and convenient"
I have stayed here many, many times and have found it to be perfect for my needs while in the area. I appreciate the small kitchenette and ability to fix meals for myself. It is a quiet location and has a very pleasant and helpful staff. Price is getting a bit out of hand now though and even though they have added a grab and go continental breakfast I find it becoming a bit overpriced.

Nice clean hotel with indoor and outdoor pools, hot free continental breakfast. Room was clean and spacious with microwave and refrigerator. Rooms only had one king or two double beds. Queen beds would be preferred. Only two elevators in building near front entrance. Hotel could be much more handicapped friendly.

Portland is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Portland, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Portland hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
