I was disappointed that they didn't offer all inclusive and that they didn't have an onsite lounge type place with dancing. Also, it would've been nice to have a full body mirror in the room. We had to stand on the couch of we wanted to see what our legs lol.

"Pretty face, ugly personality."
My family and I (husband, 4 adult children) just returned from a week at the Monte Cristo. Unfortunately, from the moment we were dropped off at the lobby we were treated inconsistently rude and disinterested. The concierge Eliza acted as though we crashed her private party. We not only carried our own luggage into the lobby, but we also had to ask if there was any storage available for it,r anyone to help us carry it there...she told us simply "no. we don't have anyone.". Really? She was obviously annoyed that we checked in an hour before our room was ready- The next delightful phrase out of her mouth was "you don't have a reservation.". Um yes, I is my confirmation number printed out on my Expedia intenerary. So we waited about 10 minutes while she typed (my husband and boys standing out of the curb with our luggage in the Mexican sun wondering if we were at the right place...) until she said "i need a credit card." This attitude continued all the way to Quivera, where the hostess literally pointed at my husband and said-"he doesn't look good" when I questioned her why some men were allowed to eat in FLIPFLOPS but he was required to change from a polo into a button-down. HBO, movies, luxurious bath products (not even conditioner!!)and other things listed on their website are non-existent, and no one cares! Our butler Edgardo did his best to accommodate us, but he was unsure about the inconsistent dress codes . Don't even get me started on La Frieda.

"Disaster in Paradise"
First let me say that our Villa was perfect in every way. My husband and I took our 3 children and the Villa was perfect for our family. The only complaint was the horrible service we received from our Concierge. We each received a door bracelet upon arrival. Only 2 worked. Our Concierge said he would take care of it and never did. When we later asked, his response was "Oh they never came??" But still we stayed with only 2 working bracelets. On the second night, we had issues with the hot tub and the thermostat inside the villa. We even slept an entire night with no A/C. Our concierge never came back to check on us for 2 days. We called, they sent maintenance that next morning to adjust. My husband saw our concierge at the Villa next to us and asked if he could come and show us how to work the thermostat correctly. He said ok and then drove off 3 mins later. He never came. We were very frustrated at that point. We called for a shuttle to take us to the lobby, it took over an hour. We felt as if we were a burden to our Concierge. We almost let it ruin our vacation but decided to enjoy our family time in spite of. Before we checked out, my husband wanted to buy a hat he saw at one of the vendor stands near the resort pool. Our concierge drove him there, my husband asked if he would wait and he said sure! When my husband briefly returned he was gone. Just horrible service. I have never written a bad review but I had to voice my concern with our stay. :(

"Great hotel, easy walk to the marina."
Stayed at the Hotel Mar de Cortez, in July 2016 with two of my sons (aged 18 and 22). We had two rooms, both of which were on the balcony level (first floor for the Brits, second floor for you Americans). The rooms were well air conditioned and comfortably furnished. Each room was clean and large enough for our purposes. Our rooms overlooked the pool, which as well maintained, and very popular when the sun was beating down. Shade could always be found, if you want to stay out of the heat and the surrounding gardens gave the pool area a tranquil oasis feel. The bar / restaurant is a good size, cool and open to the pool area. The beers and cocktails etc are cold and the food really good and reasonably priced. The lunchtime and evening happy hour roll around quickly for 241 drinks to enjoy. The staff throughout the hotel are EXCELLENT, from the groundsman trimming the foliage into animal shapes, the cleaners keeping the whole hotel clean and tidy to the bar staff and front desk being very friendly and helpful. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel. It's not a five star resort experience, but if you want to be near the town and marina - we were fishing 4 out of our 9 days, it is great location and a surprisingly quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of Cabo San Lucas centre. Great restaurants - try the Fuegos Del Sur - a super pizza / steak / Argentinian specials restaurant - Calle 5 de Mayo, No 109 Esq Con Hildago Y Guerrero, fbk Fuegos Del Sur Enjoy your stay!

"Great hotel! Perfect location."
I went with some girlfriends for a long weekend away over the summer and this hotel was perfect. It's super close to town (walking distance or cheap cab), has beach access, & every room has a view of the marina. The hotel has two buildings. The main building has the entrance and all the rooms and the second has all the fun amenities (pool, spa, gym, night club, restaurants). The main building has a quiet pool area for those wanting to relax, a bar, and a tapas style restaurant. The second building has the party pool, the other restaurants (including buffet), a night club, spa, & gym. The restaurants were pretty good. Sometimes the portions were small. Monica in the buffet was super helpful and Manny at Biblioteca (the only non-included restaurant) was helpful with the tequila tastings. Felix was an amazing waiter at the party pool, and the entertainment staff did a really good job with events. Hotel has an agreement with Amstar DMC (you can google it) for airport transportation if you want a private car. They also provide tours/excursions and have a desk setup in the main lobby. The restaurants are good for all inclusive. The best restaurant they have is probably the middle eastern restaurant. The food was delicious. Breakfast at the buffet was good, too. You can get lunch delivered to the pool areas, too. I recommend getting to the pool early to get a good location, the DJ at the party pool plays good music.

"Amazing option for families"
We have nothing but positive things to say about this property. It was everything we hoped it would be and more. The resort is conveniently located just a few miles outside of Cabo San Lucas with easy access to supermarkets. We booked a Premier Villa with garden view but were blessed with a beautiful ocean view. We are a family of four with two boys ages 14 and 11. We loved the size of the villa and the comfort of the sofa bed in the living room (Queen size). The kitchen has a good size and provides for comfortable cooking (this is a real kitchen with appliances including dishwasher and set-up for 6 people). We stayed for 11 nights, and loved that the villa had a washer and dryer. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating, always smiling and trying to make a difference. The premises were clean and well maintained, and food and beverage pricing was very reasonable. We're in the hospitality business (picky people :)) and were very impressed!

"Dream hotel"
My husband and I had a fabulous time here. We were treated with very attentive and excellent service by everyone. The resort offers hotel rooms, villas, and residences. We rented a hotel room on the top floor and had beautiful views of the ocean and our own private hot tub on the balcony. We also had a concierge who tended to our every need. You are also provided an iPad though which you can make meal reservations or ask for service like ice. The resort has private beach access which was really nice. I would not recommend swimming in the beach though as it is very rocky. There are at least three pools that we used and two of them had amazing beach views. The resort also had a few restaurants on site which was very convenient for us. The spa on the resort was fabulous too and comes with two exercise rooms: one room had weight machines and the other room had cardio machines. It was a fabulous place for us to vacation and relax. It is not an all-inclusive resort (meaning food and drinks are paid for). You have to pay for food and drinks separately. I cannot wait to return!

Cabo San Lucas is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Cabo San Lucas, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Cabo San Lucas hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
