"DO NOT get a room in the front of the hotel-noisy"
Industrial place......needs exhaust fans in the bathrooms and a table on BOTH sides of the bed. My husband was setting his water and glasses on the floor ...... not good. Also no insulation in this place so the you can hear the doors slam at night. They need something on the doors to keep them from slamming. Our place had a balcony, but nowhere to sit......why have it? Our room was in the front and on Monday at 4am we heard garbage trucks, delivery trucks, alarms, horns.......Noise control in the front at night has to be a priority. When they fix these things and get a pool and rooftop bar, it will be great. Bed is comfortable, but the lack of comfort in the rest of the room ruined it. Example one small steel chair......

Z NYC Hotel

11-01 43rd Avenue, Long Island City - Map
"Possibly best views of Manhattan Island"
Z Hotel is a little far from the bulk of attractions and things to do in NYC, however this worry was overshadowed by the views we got from our room on the 10th floor. The view at night of the Manhattan skyline was almost unreal, with the Queensboro Bridge in full view on our right. The area, being predominantly industrial, is relatively quiet and safe and we had no trouble walking to subway stations which were at most 10mins away, and there are convenience stores nearby. It is close to MoMA PS1 and a few amazing restaurants: Mu Ramen and Dutch Kills. It is also close to Tom Cat bakery whose aroma of baked bread fills the streets in the morning! The hotel room is adequate and comfortable, and staff are friendly.

La Quinta Inn Queens (New York City) - Long Island City Hotels

La Quinta Inn Queens (New York City)

37-18 Queens Blvd, Long Island City - Map
"Reasonably priced during summer, close to NYC"
The location is what we liked best about the place. Two subway stations easily walkable from the hotel. And it was convenient for food with all the fast food restaurants at walkable distance. Cons are that there is very limited parking, so if the lot if full you have to use the street parking. Also there was just one packet of stuff for the morning coffee machine. The breakfast downstairs was satisfactory - bagels, apple juice, orange juice, freshly brewed coffee, toast, limited number of doughnuts.

"Expensive, moderate facilities, quiet."
Room and bath are modernly furnished, but small. Was expecting a mini fridge for the rate. The cuisine art machine was useful for hot drinks. Neighborhood was quiet but had a lot of services: stores, restaurants, subway stations. Two stations away from 5th Av. Staff was always ready to help.

The Paper Factory Hotel

37-06 36th street, Long Island City - Map
First time staying in LIC and the Paper Factory made it all the more enjoyable. Friendly, helpful staff. Lovely room (mine overlooked the courtyard) with great amenities (toiletries, hairdryer, comfy bed, large desk, flat screen, safe, etc). Even windows that open - a perk and a plus. Wide open corridors. Excellent common spaces (24 fitness center, lounge, conference room w/ a ping-pong table). Across the street from the subway and easy access to car2go, taxis, etc. Ate at Mundo as well, which was fun and delicious. Two blocks to: an excellent breakfast place, a beer garden, and Starbucks. Walking distance/quick cab to: Williamsburg, Astoria, and Laguardia. Have already booked in my next visit.

Long Island City is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Long Island City, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Long Island City hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
