Upgraded room to room in the West House (in the same building) in order to get access to the Terrace on 23rd floor with free breakfast and happy hour food. Unfortunately the only food I could eat was a salad at happy hour and a bagel for breakfast.

Sorry but place is not as good as it used to be, put us in wrong room. Tired shabby and having stayed they 6 times over 15 years this time it was just horrendous. Paid for a premium room, anything but premium rotten bathroom door. Little fridge in the floor.. horrendous to be honest. Sadly won’t go again. One family you have lost.

The location was good… and that was it really. As advertised, it’s walking distance to Central Park (5 min walk give or take). A lot of good restaurants in the area and close to a couple subway entrances. *** NO AC BETWEEN NOV-APRIL *** the room temperature was in the 70s and no matter how low you set it, it’ll only blow out hot air. We had to sleep with the windows open the whole time. The elevators broke once during our stay and one of the elevator doors wouldn’t open all the way. The staff was really nice.
