"Amazing waterfalls across the street!"
Great location. Falls across the street are amazing! Rooms could be cleaner (moldy sealant and lots of hairs in our bathtub ..) Breakfast was ok. Loved the historical feel of the hotel on the outside, wood and stone and lush. Would happily come back and stay for longer so that we could use the sauna!

"Like A Boss"
A very pretty, quaint little B&B nestled within the beautiful Snowdonia NP, literally on the edge of the brilliantly located Betws-y-Coed. Clean room and bathroom, a comfy bed, thoughtful additional amenities (such as a hot water-bottle and welcome pack that included simple expressions in Welsh) and friendly hosts (including Janet, who loves Bruce Springsteen as much as I do!)

Booked online in the early evening, arriving 10 minutes+- thereafter; pleased to see the house's handsome stone facade in the diminishing light, and the large car park area for our rental vehicle. Our husban-wife hosts were out walking their dog, arriving home just in time to greet us. She escorted us immediately to our room, inquiring about our needs, discussing our options for breakfast the next day. The room was nicely-maintained/clean (as was the entire building, inside), well-equipped, it being on the smaller side, but, sufficient. Everything was supplied that one would expect in a B. & B, including a coffee/tea set-up, bath toiletries and sufficient towels, working tv, little notes to the guest, etc., as well as the bonus of a small waterfall across the st. in the wooded walking/hiking path (where we walked the following morning). It was a quiet night overall, despite our room facing the main road through town (the house has thick walls ,and the draperies blocked out the light and any potential street noise). The breakfast room is spacious/attractive, filled with light, and nicely decorated with newer accoutrements. There were fresh fruit bowls on a buffet table; numerous cereals were within reach. She was there, waiting for our warm meal requests, making certain that my special food needs were met. We chit-chatted some with her, and another guest couple. Though the mattress in our room could have offered better support. Overall, it was a great experience!

"Good priced room"
The room was small, but then I was paying less for it than most other places I stayed. However not less than some. The hotel the following night had a room about three times bigger for the same price, for instance. The towels had marks on them. They might be washed, but finding marks is not a good look. The internet was almost non-existent. It worked the first evening, but hardly after that, even when I used the recommended sitting room to try to connect. If it continues to be advertised as having internet, it needs to be fixed, because at present it doesn't have it, at least in some rooms, and some times not in the sitting room either. Breakfast was fine. The people running the B&B are friendly and the cat is lovely.

"A challenging location for those not driving."
The view from our room (1) was superb. Emma was a genuinely warm hostess. She accommodated an earlier check-in (4,00 pm is a bit of a challenge as a check-in time however.) She was also very proactive in suggesting easy walks in the area. Breakfasts were top rate. Unfortunately for those without a vehicle, the walk into town and back is quite forbidding in the winter darkness. In the end, we simply did not make the trip after dark and had to change our preferred meal schedule.

"Great Hotel - Except the Mattresses"
The hotel setting is great in all respects: on a beautiful river, close to town but far enough away to not have all the traffic noise. The restaurant has very good food and at a reasonable price. The restaurant ventilation system at times seemed to leak food odors into the bar/reception area. The staff were great. We had a river view room which was spacious with a fine bathroom. Unfortunately the single beds were quite uncomfortable with one giving the impression springs were going to pop through the mattress at any moment. For what one pays at the hotel this really needs to be addressed. Sitting amongst a great walking area one would have expected the hotel to have it own suggested best walks brochure. Other than lending us an ordinance map they really had nothing to offer in this regard. Still highly recommend the hotel.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Betws-Y-Coed hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
