"Nice traditional hotel on main promenade."
A pleasant surprise - a well maintained and attractive traditional building and very conveniently located on the promenade. Parking is on street (free) but I had no problem and between 6pm and 8am parking is permissible on both sides of the road. Main bar/dining/breakfast room was light and airy and attractively furnished with sea view. Evening meal choice and quality of good standard as was the breakfast, with friendly efficient service. Bedroom was surprisingly spacious and well furnished for the class of hotel and generous tea/coffee and toiletries provided. Plenty of space to work at desk. Everything seemed clean and in good condition with modern fittings including a generous number of electric sockets (vital for all those chargers we have now days) and of course free wifi which was good enough for my needs. Once you realise this is an older traditional building the slightly sloping bedroom floor can be forgiven! The price I paid was really good. If I had to stay in Aberystwyth again I would definitely stay here again.

"Good location - very friendly staff"
Small older hotel on seafront. The rooms need some tlc. and more attention to the small details in room maintainance. The owner is very nice and newly acquired the hotel. I am sure he is working on these issues as they were doing work while we were there. Any concerns we had during our stay were addressed very efficiently. The breakfast room was great and Marlena the manager was incredible. Her friendliness and customer service made our stay comfortable. The breakfast room had fresh ground coffee, fresh fruits, great cheese and hot croissants and pastries. There is no elevator, but that is normal for small older victorian hotels in the UK. We had a sea front room and it was lovely to sit in the bay window and watch the people. The breakfast room is left open making it a welcoming area to come and sit at any time of day and enjoy a tea. There are lots of restaurants close by and the town centre is only minutes away. Overall would recommend and come back as it priced accordingly.

"Comfortable base in the country"
Hotel was just what was wanted on a drizzly evening - it was warm, dry and had a reasonable selection of food and drink across the restaurant/tea-room & bar.

Expedia should have explained that this hotel is undergoing a major refurbishment. A slightly strange set up. The main entrance to the hotel is via a bar situated on the ground floor. The very friendly licensee of the bar explained that the bar doubles up as the reception to the hotel. My details were on the computer and I was shown to my room which was in the refurbished area of the bar. Due to the refurbishments the hotel does not currently have a working kitchen but the licensee of the bar explained he could provide a 'Welsh Continental Breakfast' - sadly not quite what I was anticipating and certainly not as described on the Expedia website. There is also no parking which again came as a surprise. Later that evening when I returned to the hotel I discovered there was no heating in the room or as it happens in the corridors/landings yet strangely plenty of hot running water. Luckily a very helpful you lady who was working in the bar offered to contact the owner who in fairness and quickly produced an electric. In the morning and given the strange reception set up there was no one around to check out with as all the doors to the bar area were locked and I must assume no one had opted to have breakfast.

"Historic, Elegant Mansion with great facilities"
It was truly a pleasure to stay at Nanteos. We were there two nights and would have loved to stay the week and enjoyed more of the Aberystwyth area. The mansion is a historic gem with an elegant and classical feel. The room was very clean and spacious....very comfortable for sleeping. Great views out the front of the building into the fields in front of the mansion. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. A wonderful breakfast as well. We will definitely return to Nanteos.

Aberystwyth is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Aberystwyth, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Aberystwyth hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
