"Close to Termini"
We stayed at the Ariston Hotel for one night so we could train it to the airport the following morning. Location is perfect for proximity to Termini, as it is only a 5 minute walk. Continental breakfast had a ton of options and was included in the hotel rate. Rooms are a nice size and were clean and comfortable. Staff were excellent and allowed us to have a late check out. My only complaint was that the "do not disturb" button did not work so we were interrupted by hotel staff wanting to clean our room. After the 3rd interruption I addressed it with the front desk staff who sent maintenance up to our room; however, it was still not fixed and we were disturbed once more. Not a big deal as we were already awake, but it was annoying. Overall would recommend -- just make sure the "do not disturb" works.

"Edwardian era comfort and elegance"
My wife and I stayed here in mid May for five nights in a 'superior' room. It was a spacious room equipped with kingsize bed and side tables, writing bureau, easy chair, and wardrobe with safe. A spotlessly clean, large bathroom. Efficient room service and free wi-fi. We had a 4th floor, corner room with one window overlooking the garden and another a side street so probably less noisy than a room in the front, facing the main Viale Nazionale - the emergency services vehicles going up the main street made a lot of noise. One problem for us was that the week we stayed was very warm for May, with the temp. reaching 30c but the air-conditioning was not efficient enough to cool the room enough, even though we turned the room thermostat down to 17c. The food was excellent when we dined at the hotel on our last evening and there were plenty of small restaurants around in the local side streets including one very good one in the side street by the hotel. The breakfast was the usual international buffet style with plenty of choice though the cooked ingredients like bacon and scrambled egg weren't kept hot enough in fact the bacon and cooked ham were virtually cold but there was plenty of other choices from the Dutch, French and Italian type of breakfasts. All told we enjoyed our stay at the Quirinale and appreciated its central position in Rome enabling a lot of the main sites to be in easy walking distance.

"One of the best hotels, ever"
The Hotel Delle Nazioni is perfect for a couple looking to get away for a week. It is centrally located in Rome and 1 block away from the Trevi Fountain. Our room was on the second floor and looked out on to the court. We opened the windows wide open and let the night cool breeze fill the room while we slept. You could not hear the noise from the Trevi fountain area or from the traffic but just from the occasional bird chirping. The breakfast was phenomenal. It was a buffet style and they provided a great variety of fresh food. It is located where most of the sites are just walking distance from the hotel. The staff is very polite and helpful. I could easily live there for a month.

"Excellent hotel very close to main train station."
This hotel was excellent. It was easy to get to (2 mins walk from main train station) and only a short walk to main tourist attractions. It also has plenty of nice and cheap restaurants close by. The room itself was perfect. It had lovely facilities and cleanliness and the staff very helpful and friendly. Overall I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone.

"Amazing local location "
We had a long weekend stay in Rome, was really impressed with the hotel. Was very clean and tidy, had good wifi, all the staff spoke excellent English and it was in a superb location, so easy to walk to all the sights but far enough away that it wasn't super expensive. Only negatives were that I found the bed rather hard and the air conditioning didn't work all that well. But didn't stop us having a lovely stay and would still highly recommend.

"Nice hotel, fabulous location "
Great location on a very narrow street that is lined with restaurants and feels very safe, even late at night. Only a few blocks and easy walk to the colosseum, the forum and pantheon. You'll need a 15 Euro cab ride to the Vatican. We loved the location for its access to the ancient sites and charming little restaurants that were open even late at night. The room was modern (we were in the main building which faced the street.) The room had two separate windows that completely blocked any noise from the street. The beds were too hard for our taste. We are accustomed to pillowtop mattresss that are found in most hotels in America. The staff was very helpful.

I feel the hotel could have sent a mail to prepare us for our arrival. We arrived by train at the Castel Gandolfo station after a morning of travelling. Google Maps indicated the hotel was 800m away from the station but it was a mean uphill to walk with luggage cases. We should have been forewarned and offered a shuttle. Staff weren't very welcoming when we arrived which was disappointing considering we had just conquered the meanest hill! Our room wasn't ready (we were about 40min early) so we walked around a bit until it was. When we entered the room I was anticipating the view but the curtains were closed. Weird. Anyway, we opened the curtains and the extra we paid for the view of the lake was definitely worth it. Spectacular. There was no notepad or pen in the room, no information on the area or suggestions of what to do or restaurants to dine at.The wi-fi signal was really really bad. The bathroom had a jet bath and looked inviting, except when we ran the water strange things came floating out of the jets.Eeeuw. For a 4 star hotel the room looked a bit tired. Our second day was much better, different staff at reception and breakfast and the rest of the stay was very pleasant. I must emphasize how stunning the lake view was and I would highly recommend paying the extra for the view if you're able to.

"Good location to the Rome Airport"
The reservation and check-in process was pleasant. Although the restaurant was open until 11:00PM, we were advised that there would be several groups and that dining there would not be possible (the restaurant next door is fabulous and hosts dancing Thursday-Saturday nights). The payment for a ride to the airport was not only excessive, but the driver took us to the wrong terminal and left. We had to drag luggage 1/2 mile just to get to correct terminal (hire a taxi)

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Santa Palomba hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
