"Great hotel!"
Right next to squaw valley ski and a shuttle runs between them. There is a ski in and out available but not for beginners. The restaurants there were pretty good and you have couple of options or can take the shuttle to squaw. My only complaint is that there is no noise buffer between rooms. We had a family next to us on the last night and screaming baby and kids yelling at 5am kept us awake. You can hear people clearly in the next room. Something as simple as a hairdryer is heard well enough to wake you up. Besides that we had a great stay and it was a nice and clean hotel with some great views.

"Awesome location. "
Wonderful view from room. Close to Funitel. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. Underground parking is great with easy access to room. My daughter also played games and created crafts in a complementary supervised kids area that the hotel provided. Great trip.

"Clean and close to lake but true motel"
The location is great as your by the lake and central to everything in King's Beach. The place is clean and livable. However, cell signal is horrible as in no signal and internet is slow. Also, the shower dribbles on you. I'm all for saving water and low flow shower heads but this one literally just dribbled on you.

"Great family place! Great sledding! Great pool!"
We stayed over New Years and they had a great party for the family. The sledding was amazing. Max, at the front desk, was incredible. He even lent our son his son's gloves, because we lost ours. Max was really great with all of our needs.

"Top shelf accomodation."
I stayed in Village One condo #306. 3 bed 2+ bath. The kitchen had every top of the line appliance and gadget needed. The master bathroom was spacious with heated flooring. The towels were thick, plush, and soft. The furnishings were well appointed and comfortable with exception of the living room sofa. The sofa was hard and uncomfortable to sit on even briefly. The big screen TV was a bit deceptive. What looked to be a large screen TV over the fireplace turned out to have quite a small viewing screen. TV screens in bedrooms are a bit too small for the size of the rooms. From the balcony you can view the activity along the walkway behind the main square. It was very quiet inside the unit. Everything is within walking distance: restaurants, shops, ice skating, yoga, games, scheduled activities, and a movie theater showing the most recent shows. The best amenity is the gondola. The gondola entrance is right in the lobby of the building. I did not have to go outside or walk anywhere to get on the slopes! The staff was the nicest I have ever encountered. The only downside to The Village One condo rentals is that once you reserve through Expedia for this are locked in and it is not cancelable or refundable. Welk resorts stands firm on that issue, and refused to refund any money when I wanted to check out 2 days early.

North Lake Tahoe is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in North Lake Tahoe, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your North Lake Tahoe hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
