We loved this location and the private beach was so great especially with the Labor Day weekend crowds. The view is amazing. Just a great place to stay.

We had a nice stay here, the view from the room was excellent. The little beach, the big patio are excellent features. The walls doesn’t have great sound insulation, but we had quiet neighbors. Overall it’s a great accomodation I would stay here anytime in the future.

Loved the property. Free Friday concert next door. Sloped clean beach entry. Great pool and hot tub. We were able to bring our kayak and use it. Great views from our room. Hotel staff answered our questions and always working to keep the property in good shape. Clean room and great amenities like shampoo, conditioner, lotion and soap. It was good to have window and door coverings for privacy. The a/c worked well. Our room needed a new or washed carpet. The broken bathroom mirror needs replacing. A new bathtub or resurfacing needed. We couldn’t plug the kettle, it was too far from any outlet from the table. We had to place it on the floor. It did not deter from enjoying our room.

Crown Motel is clean and comfortable and you cannot beat the location. It’s right on the water with its own private beach. It’s nothing fancy but it had everything I was looking for in a lakefront property. Ruby was great during the check in process. The bbq/picnic area was a nice surprise and it was awesome that so many people were using it. The patios and deck areas offer places for people to hang out and I love the pool area. Everything was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. If there was one thing that disappointed me, it’s that there was no in room coffee but there’s a great place next door! Overall Crown Motel is a great, simple little lakeside property and I will definitely be back!

It was definitely not the nicest place. But the staff let me check in early and use parking lot before I checked in. The area seemed safe. The pool wasn't heated and hot tub was over run by drunk adults the entire day. The private beach was a little small. I'd recommend just walking down to the stake beach which is like a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Overall a great place to stay if you care about location rather than comfort.

In the morning, someone, a guest, decided to use my pickup truck as their personal garbage can. Yay. Another obnoxious guest told me that since I couldn't use her 805 beer can in my selfie, I should take a pic of her. With her as a "2" , I wasn't excited 😆. She mounted an offensive diatribe. I left, completely! Abandoned my 2nd nite. Good luck!! Idiots .... You were warned...

The room we stayed in had a kitchen which was a nice feature. We also had a view of the lake which was really nice. The property is very dated and could use some upgrading. The water pressure is terrible, almost non-existent. There were some used items left from previous people left on the shelf in the closet and in the bathroom. A fuse blew somewhere and we were without lights or power in our main room as well as the room next to us. The issue was fixed quickly and the staff were great, just an example of some possible upgrading that could be done.

Small town comfort

A favorite. Love the small town of kings beach and staying at the Crown makes the stay comfortable. The rooms are clean and spacious, and you have beach access. What more could be asked.
