"New Bompard"
The best part of the hotel is the garden/ courtyard setting which is very pleasant and the pool whilst it is tired and could do with a bit of maintenance gets the sun and is quite. The staff were generally helpful and in particular Thom who was really going out of his way to help you enjoy your stay. The hotel style is very rustic so if you like everything pristine and immaculate this hotel may not be for you. There are a few negatives. Main one is there is NO air conditioning despite what the website says. There was an air conditioning unit in our room and it did switch on with a very feint sound of air being moved but had no effect on chilling the room. After the first morning I had a look around and the air conditioning unit was not connected to external air and was not going to work! The hotel itself is in a quite location and is fine when you are in the hotel but there is nothing close by in terms of bars restaurants. I do like to have a wander around and wherever I'm away always like to use the 'real' locals bars but there is nothing near this hotel that you would want to go to. You rely on the taxis here and the hotel had real difficulty in getting taxis. It was the Euro's so maybe on normal weekends taxis are not such an issue. The breakfast in the hotel was fine but no English breakfast available but a good continental breakfast. The main menu was very limited with only four main courses available and with young children or choosy eaters will be an issue

"Overnight stay"
We were pleased with the overnight stay at this hotel. it was clean and good value for money, at a convenient location, being a 5 minute walk from the train station, however, it wasn't the facilities that impressed us. After we returned to the UK, we discovered that we had left a personal item in the room and the reception staff on duty personally went to check and found the item to keep in the safe for us to arrange its return, that was really excellent service! Thank you!

"Quirky but chic hotel"
We found it an enjoyable and stimulating place to stay. The restaurant was very good, and clearly favoured by chic youngsters (we are not chic or young but were nevertheless made to feel welcome). There is an erotic theme in some of the decor etc. and we found this entertaining but some people might be concerned about bringing young children. The only negative point is that we found the duvet very hot and so had to keep the room cold through the night in order to sleep comfortably.

"Best hotel in Marseille"
In Marseilles for a long weekend - this hotel was perfect. Great position in the centre of everything - easy to get to everywhere. Most rooms have balconies and with kettles provided you can have a drink on your balcony watching the world go by without having to pay for expensive room service. Near lots of restaurants. Very helpful and friendly staff, they could not have done more when we asked for advice. Wonderful air-conditioning during the heatwave. Different decor made a change from bland hotel chains. We had a two room suite [they call it an apartment] and it was great value for the amount of space. Would happily fit in 4 adults although there were only two of us. L-Occitaine toiletries, dressing gowns and slippers were all provided. There was a huge shower and separate bath. The beds were comfortable with proper bedding as you would expect from a five star hotel. The breakfast was good but a little chaotic on the Sunday when they seemed to run out of everything. Note - this hotel has a better view than the more expensive hotels and is far more accessible.

"Nice small hotel in old quarter"
Easy walk to vieux port. Lots of info in foyer. Friendly staff. Smiled nicely at our poor French! Minor points - small rooms, rather shabby bathroom shower and 1 of our rooms' A/C did not work.

Marseille is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Marseille, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Marseille hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
