This hotel is in a fantastic location with excellent beach and snorkelling, also close to shopping at Whalers Village, perfect spot. Hotel itself was ok, nothing special but for the price, it was just what our family needed... comfortable, clean rooms and lots of facilities and fun things for the kids to do!

Room was very good. We were upgraded to ocean view on arrival. Hotel staff was very courteous & helpful.
Only issue was mattresses were soft. We were offered to change to another room. We did not change due to inconvenience of packing & unpacking.
We would love to come back to Aston Kaanapalli Shores hotel again.

We loved the resort in every way! A lovely, relaxing, 4.5 to 5 star experience. Just a wonderful time. If you love kaanapali but it has gotten too big and crowded... you will love honua kai! We will def go back. Excellent experience from check in to check out. Could have some more kit utensils in kitchen but that is kinda picky and not a factor in our overall stay and contentment. Highly recommend!

Good location to see the sunset. Right on the beach. Room is large with full kitchen, nearby there is a big supermarket and within 100 feet there is gas station and a small store providing what you need. The resort does not provide breakfast or any dining at all.

The hotel was very nice and comfortable. It also had easy access to the beach and other attractions in Lahaina. What I disliked most was the daily fee of $30.00 for so called incidentals...aka, internet, water, parking and the shuttle for downtown Lahaina. You're already paying an expensive rate, so this feels like over kill.
Also, I was given a really cool sea shell from the guy who taught scuba diving lessons. I placed in my bathroom sink to soak (to clean out some of the sea smell), and the hotel maid threw it out. This has really irritated me. I can't understand why.

We really enjoyed our stay. The Rooms were great. Location was wonderful. Used the Shuttle System to Front Street. Service was fantastic. There is no better Beach location than right in front of the Sheraton. Would go back again in a heart beat.

Stayed at the Aston Mahana for 10 days in September. I cannot say enough about the beauty of this property, it's amazing location, helpful staff, and view from the room. I would definitely return for my next Maui adventure!

Kaanapali is a prime vantage point for viewing humpback whales, which swim by December to May. The town’s whaling history is displayed at Whaler’s Village, a shopping complex and museum. Visitors also can experience the area’s farming past by riding the Sugar Cane Train, a restored steam locomotive. Snorkelers and divers can enjoy the coral reefs and fish that thrive in nearby Black Rock Beach.
