Suite was a bit dated but overall nice resort. The food at the Beach Club Cafe on the resort was nothing special. Nice to have access to the beach from the resort, but the beach could have used some grooming. The beach is also cut off from other resorts making a romantic evening walk along the beach cut short. The staff were very friendly and overall the stay was nice. If I were to return to west Maui I would consider staying at a different resort to try something else.

Have stayed here before and loved it. This time unit H201 AC broke no one to fix it for 3 days. Dryer did not dry clothes. Privacy screen was broken. I would not recommend this unit until these issues are resolved Hopefully we get a different unit next time.

This is our second visit to Maui and our second stay at the Kaanapali Alii. The condos are spacious, clean, well equipped, and the area is quiet and safe. Enjoyed walking the beach path behind all the hotels. The staff are kind and helpful. Will definitely come back to Kaanapali Alii for our third visit. Thank you!!!

Kaanapali is a prime vantage point for viewing humpback whales, which swim by December to May. The town’s whaling history is displayed at Whaler’s Village, a shopping complex and museum. Visitors also can experience the area’s farming past by riding the Sugar Cane Train, a restored steam locomotive. Snorkelers and divers can enjoy the coral reefs and fish that thrive in nearby Black Rock Beach.
