"Amazing views, comfortable bed, relaxing resort"
My husband and I just returned from our stay at Napili Kai Beach Resort yesterday. It was wonderful. This hotel has the most comfortable bed and pillows I've ever slept on. I even asked housekeeping if they could get me the brand because I slept so soundly. The rooms don't have air conditioning, but they do have a couple ceiling fans and two wall fans that kept the room pretty cool. Each room has stunning views of the ocean and comfortable patios to enjoy your complimentary coffee. It was great waking up to the sounds of the waves each morning. I didn't realize this at the time, but our room had a full kitchen, which was great for in-between meals. We were a little hesitant to use the oven, since our room would have gotten too hot without the AC, but I'm sure it would have worked great. The grounds are very well kept and the main pool is a decent size. If you want an umbrella for the beach, you'll have to rent those (roughly $14.99/day) from the front desk concierge, but the hotel provides beach towels and chairs, which worked fine for us. The only downside, which some might not even consider a downside, is that there isn't much entertainment. The hotel did provide a few small events, but it's not like the larger resorts that have shows every night. The hotel is located about 15 minutes from Kaanapai and about 5 minutes from a grocery store. Everything you need is within driving distance. I would highly recommend staying here.

"We enjoyed the location of the property. "
We enjoyed the hot tub and pool. Could use some music of some sort in the pool area. The Red phone was not working when we tried to check in. The fan in the bedroom was broke and stuck on low speed so was extremely hot. We heard different stories about being able to use the facilities across the street as were told by some people it was ok and others it was not. Need to have better office hours.

"Nice hotel right on frills but perfect"
We didn't have the best view because we were on the 2nd floor and on the side. It was still really nice... the balcony was great. The place was clean and comfortable and evwrything was in good condition. We would definitely go back!

"Close to the best snorkeling in Maui. "
My wife and I have stayed here about 5 times over the years and like the location. The hotel is fine. Not fancy, but that little community is cute with the little shops, and you can surf and get surfing lessons at Goofy Foot. That is just yards from the hotel. I am 67 and learned to surf. Snorkeling at Honolua Bay that is near and is the best Snorkeling on the Island. The rooms are clean and I always get the beach side, but have stayed at the mountain side. I have stayed at some of the greatest places on the planet and this one has the best location ... especially for families with kids. I live in California.

"Great spot for R&R"
The hotel is located in a good spot, in between Kapalua and Kanappali. Easy to walk to the beach and neighboring Kapalua hotels and beaches. Napili beach is great for snorkeling. Easy to get a bus to Kanappali and a mile walk to a shopping center with a great coffee shop! Popular breakfast spot, The Gazebo, and the Sea House are delicious places to eat within walking distance. And for nicer dining Merriman's Kapalua and Montage are also walking distances. The facility is clean and rooms are spacious. Definitely consider a room with ocean view to take full advantage of the location! Great spot for families and traveling couples.

"(#215 w/ Lonnie) Spotless, thoughtfully arranged"
We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the unit. That helped us be very comfortable right away, and most places are not this clean. We only talked with Lonnie by email, but she was efficient and accommodating. The kitchen had all the hardware that we needed, the pots and pans were in pretty good condition, and the lightweight, hygienic Corelle dishes were a nice touch. The in-unit laundry is also a win (note: you can only dry or wash at one time in this combo). We loved the temperature regulation afforded by the louvered windows (no AC needed in our time there) and the gorgeous views off the lanai. Ocean experience: During our stay, water access required a bit of a detour due to repairs on the coastline at Kaleialoha. Instead, we walked 2 more minutes through Makani Sands next door (as per an official arrangement between Kaleialoha and that property). That was perhaps overall a net win, since the water entry on the Makani side is a bit sandier, while the weather during our stay was windy, with larger-than-typical surf. This seems like a nice place to splash about in the surf and swim a bit (taking care to avoid the rockier spots), but the ocean right out of the condo does not provide for great snorkeling. Luckily, there is good snorkeling within a 5-10 minute drive. The unit does not have snorkeling equipment, but towels were provided and 1 or 2 boogie boards.

"Family vacation"
This place is awesome. Rooms were huge and comfortable. We saved a lot of money by using the kitchen for breakfast and lunch. They had a dozen grills outside that people used throughout the day. Staff was great- check-in, house cleaners and the beach chair people. We wouldn't stay anywhere else. Best part of the beach with everything in easy walking distance. Free parking and wifi.

Kahana is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Kahana, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Kahana hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
