Loved my stay at the Wylies. I was travelling alone for the first time in ages and very much appreciated the warm welcome and relaxed atmosphere. The rooms were super comfortable and the views incredible. The whole place has been thoughtfully designed and I felt very at home there.

I was really taken back by the size of the room (extremely small) but it was clean. The bed however was sunken in in the middle. The toilet roll holder was not fixed and fell off. I had to re-attached it. I locked the bathroom door when I had a shower and really panicked when I couldn't unlock it which wasn't pleasant. The walls are paper thin and I could hear everything eg others walking or using the bathroom. For the cost I thought it was very expensive.

There will be a kettle in your room with tea packets. The oven, stovetop, and laundry machine does not work. There is a working fridge. The TV has channels and apps to watch shows/films. If you like to walk, this is the place to be. However, if you do not, take the bus because the city centre is 1.6km. There is no front desk, if you need help you have to go outside and ring the bell to alert the staff. The room was nice and comfy.

Booked this for my mum and dad and they said how the hotel was very convenient to the local attractions however the rooms where not cleaned well at all, the dust on the bedside table, dressing table and tv was obvious to the eye. Not meeting their expectations.

Beautiful character to the hotel

The room was catered to tall people. I am all of 5ft. Digital padlock was quite high and so couldn't see numbers clearly. The mirror over the sink, and soap dispensers were designed for use by tall people. Suggest that the provider put up a couple of hooks in the bathroom to hang towels etc. The shower stall was a little tight. All this can be coped with. What really was BAD was there was no hot water during the whole of Day 2 of my stay. The staff kept saying it was out of their control. Up to check out time, still no hot water. It was rainy and cold that day. I believe some kind of compensation can be offered. I called their emergency number for assistance but there was no response from staff, although they said the number was manned from 9am - 9 pm. I called well before 9 pm. I only got a message from the system only the next morning. Free parking was available so that is a positive point
