Nice & clean. Great location - near train station, shopping, food. Very convenient. They have an off-site fitness center, which is fine but not so convenient. On the whole, a nice option in an expensive city
While this hotel is very pricey, it is well worth it. I booked 2 rooms for our family. The rooms were beautiful and very comfortable. Lots of light and well appointed supplies were in each room. The only thing missing was an outlet in the bathroom for my hair appliance. So I had to curl my hair while sitting at the desk, which was fine.
Central location with the free boat across the street to the main downtown area. The staff were super nice and accomodating. The front receptionists were all very pleasant, well dressed and super professional. Their English was great. The bell men and security people in the lobby were very attentive and helpful. We ate in the Chinese restaurant and the general restaurant on the 2nd floor. All of the waiters were amazing and very friendly.Smiling all the time. Food excellent.
We found this a pleasant surprise for Switerland. Our daughter goes to school in a nearby town, so we come often to Switzerland to visit. Since waiters and staff don't work for tips, it is very rare to get good service in Switzerland. We ate at 2 Michelin restaurants in Switzerland, and they provide amazing service, but other than that, waiters and waitresses and not normally very attentive. But this hotel and their staff provided the best service in Switzerland.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Bort. From the friendly check in to our departure everyone was very nice. The rooms are extremely clean, simple yet cozy. The halfboard dinner was excellent, exceeded my expectations and was a good value for prices in Switzerland. The Restaurant staff was great and on clear days has a stellar mountain view as well. The hotel is very secluded in the winter which can be a plus or minus depending on what you are looking for. It is only accessible by cable car by 4:15 pm and besides the hotel there isn't anything else up there. we got a few drinks and snacks for our room from the Co op in town and kept them cold outdoor on our window ledge. The only negative I could say was a little bit of noise from ski boots going up and down the stairs but it wasn't hindering to our sleep at all and the lack of a hot tub. What they lacked in hot tubbing they made up for with very clean hot showers. I would definitely recommend this ski in ski out hotel.

I stayed for 4 nights at this 2 star hotel. The rooms are basic but clean, comfy beds and super fluffy towels. Hotel provides comlimentary breakfast and has restauran and bar on site. I had dined there one night and the meal was delicious. The hotel has superb staff who is always available and tries to make your stay great. It is located 2 minutes walk from a fre ski bus that runs on average every 20 mins troughout lift operations, and it takes about 15-20mins to get to Ardent lift station. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay and will come back if I plan to come to snowboard in Avoria again.

Great for a short break - very clean, warm and plenty of hot water. Our room was very compact (but well kitted out) but we'd have had cabin fever if our stay had been longer than 4 days. Great location, 3 min walk to town, Chavannes lifts and Mont Chery TC. A bit noisy at nights from fellow guests and snow clearing equipment being used to clear the roads overnight. But would stay again.
