We needed a hotel for a night on the way back from skiing before flying back to NY. The hotel is a very short walk from the Oerlikon train station, which is a 5-minutes train ride from the airport, so you can get to the airport in about 15 minutes if you time it right. To us it was better than an airport hotel as the neighborhood has nice restaurants and is closer to city center in case you have time for a quick trip.
The hotel itself is modern; the rooms new and, while not spacious, very comfortable; and the plush 32nd-floor SPA offers a pool, jacuzzi, and sauna room.

We booked Superior room with access to Executive Lounge, which was a very nice option to have. The Lounge offered hot and cold appetizers until 7 pm and a good variety of beverages. The hotel was great in accomodating our request for a room on higher floor with city view. Our room was on 32 floor and had a nice view. Very nice lobby lounge.
One thing we were not happy about was the central heat for the whole hotel which was set to very low while it was 30 degrees outside. When we complained about room and even the lobby being cold (wanted to have a drink at lobby bar but didn't because it was cold there), the staff said they could not do much as heat is set the same for all rooms and they gave us 2 portable heaters to warm up the room. Not the option I want to have while paying over $300 per night!
Please fix the heat situation to make your guests comfortable.
Otherwise, a nice place to stay.

I stayed here for a day while recovering from a transatlantic trip. This is a good hotel from which to explore Zurich. The hotel shuttle quickly takes you to and from the airport where you can catch the 10 minute or so ride into Zurich. There a good stores for buying groceries, coffee, etc. in the airport.
The staff here was extremely helpful. They made things really easy for a very tired traveler. The room was clean, modern, and very pleasant.

Check in was very smooth, the reception was waiting for us and our room was ready. We were inform by the hotel of all the attraction around the area.
The room was exceptionally clean with coffee making facilities. There were quality sleeper and bathrobe. The water pressure and hot water was very good. Only thing is there is no separate bath and shower. Bed was very comfortable and of high quality.
The buffet breakfast was good and has an excellent varieties of tea.

"Wonderful place with great views overlooking old Z"
Very unique property with amazing views of the matterhorn, overlooking the historic alpine village of Zermatt. Great location 25 paces from the high speed "train lift" that takes you up to the base of the mountain on the swiss side. The skiing in Zermatt can be frustrating...crowded runs, thin snow cover off piste and the layout of the mountain requires you to spend of lot of time on the lifts. I suggest getting over to the Italian side (Cervinia) as much as possible. The snow was better and the crowds were thinner. There is an amazing run from the top of the Matterhorn Glacier tram all the way down to the base on the Italian side...it's ~7000 ft total vertical drop. Possibly the longest run I've ever seen. For context, the largest in-bounds vertical drop in North America is ~4500 ft. But there is nothing like the town of Zermatt. One of the coolest places you'll ever visit. Can't think of a better place to stay than Hotel Schonegg.
