The hotel was very clean and nice, but you have to use transportation to get to the Citi Center. Also there are no triple rooms. If you are offered a triple bedroom it is actually a double bedroom with a small bed not suitable for adults. I had to get an extra bedroom. The triple bedroom was a waste of money

We booked Superior room with access to Executive Lounge, which was a very nice option to have. The Lounge offered hot and cold appetizers until 7 pm and a good variety of beverages. The hotel was great in accomodating our request for a room on higher floor with city view. Our room was on 32 floor and had a nice view. Very nice lobby lounge.
One thing we were not happy about was the central heat for the whole hotel which was set to very low while it was 30 degrees outside. When we complained about room and even the lobby being cold (wanted to have a drink at lobby bar but didn't because it was cold there), the staff said they could not do much as heat is set the same for all rooms and they gave us 2 portable heaters to warm up the room. Not the option I want to have while paying over $300 per night!
Please fix the heat situation to make your guests comfortable.
Otherwise, a nice place to stay.

I selected the Movenpick because it's convenient for the airport as I had to fly back to London the next day and it's within a few minutes walk from Kloten Balsberg train station, so very easy to get trains to the centre of Zurich and other areas. This hotel is very modern and trendy and the breakfast was excellent, included in my room rate and a buffet, so I didn't need to eat anything until much later on in the day! My room was a spacious double, with Nespresso coffee machine and good size bathroom, very quiet and comfortable. I didn't bring my laptop, so was pleased that there are computers to use for guests downstairs by reception. There isn't a swimming pool or spa here, but they do have a gym. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Yes the food and drinks are expensive here, as with most four or five star hotels in Zurich, so having breakfast included in your room rate is worth it. The only disappointment was that the bar closed at 1.00am and was very busy that evening with guests, a big group of them who were friends of mine also staying in the hotel, but unlike hotels in Germany who are often willing to serve until a bit later if it's busy, they insisted on closing and we were all made to get last orders at 12.30. There was also an issue with a hotel system upgrade that evening and we were unable to charge anything to our room bills, they only accepted cash or credit cards. Food stopped serving at 11pm at the bar.

The hotel location is excellent. It's next to the train station, just a 5 minutes walk. The Gornegrat Train station is just next to hotel. There are Coop supermarket just a 5 minutes walk away and lots of restaurants nearby.
Check in was very smooth, the reception was waiting for us and our room was ready. We were inform by the hotel of all the attraction around the area.
The room was exceptionally clean with coffee making facilities. There were quality sleeper and bathrobe. The water pressure and hot water was very good. Only thing is there is no separate bath and shower. Bed was very comfortable and of high quality.
The buffet breakfast was good and has an excellent varieties of tea.

Great, small property just around the corner from restaurants, bars, and activities in Zurich. Rooms are small, but very (modern) efficient, clean, and comfortable--at a very fair price. Nice breakfast--nothing fancy, but perfect for a good start to the day. Plenty of fresh fruit, cheeses, breads, etc., etc. Thomas, the manager, was very helpful and friendly. I will stay at this hotel again!

We asked for a lake view room upon reservation and when we arrived, we were upgraded to a suite with not only a lake view, but a balcony. The accommodations were not only spacious and comfortable, but the room was beautifully appointed with an antique desk and dresser, lovely chandeliers, roomy closets and a double sink bathroom. Details and little touches make this hotel special. We received a bowl of fruit, a handwritten note of welcome, and binoculars to enjoy the spectacular views offered by the lake and the snow capped mountains. We sat on the balcony for a good part of the day and simply enjoyed the vista, people-watching, and each other's company. In addition, old town is simply a stroll away, down a lovely tree-lined promenade along the lake. Dinner at the National Restaurant at the hotel was superb, four stars in our opinion. The dining capped off a wonderful stay.

We fell in love with this hotel, not just because it is charming, clean, and well appointed; but mostly because of the way the bar staff made us feel very welcomed. We were impressed with how the bar staff remembered our first names, and our details of what we liked. They were all so very professional and friendly throughout our time there, which is a balance of quality service that is not often met. Anything we needed from housekeeping was delivered promptly with courtesy and a sense of wanting to ensure our stay was very comfortable. This makes all the difference in travelling when you are tired or have forgotten to bring something. Can't say enough about this hotel! We look forward to staying again!
