Booked through expedia. When I got there They said room was not available. They said they need to clean a room. So I had to wait few hours. Room service has been knocking on the door couple hours before my checkout time. Parking is headache, plus expensive. You park across the street, its not easy to access back and forth to your car. Resort fee plus the parking is expensive for the hotel rate. But the location is great. Lot of restaurants All over the street. Its a huge hotel and very crowded. Going up and down the elevators could be headche if its around check in or check out time. Also long wait for check in and out line is so long. They could hire more receptionists. Besides that oceanfront is great!! Its absulutely beautiful. Rooms are clean but a little out dated. I think they could upgrade a little for the price we pay. Overall i would say, hotel got me tired, unless you stay for a week, you wont be getting any rest.

Original room out dated problem with tv. New room much more up dated and no problems. Staff did address issue with out a problem. Being hotel far from any food establishments, could keep on premise eating choices opened a little later. Grounds, staff very nice.

On the whole it was pleasant. Proximity to the beach was our first priority, we had it. Watching sunrises and sunsets was a big bonus. Excess to the hotel from the parking lot was on the third floor through a gallery running above the street level,, also an advantage, we did not have to cross the street with a very heavy traffic.. The pool was open round the clock, which was also convenient. The staff was very friendly.,

Great 4-day stay , only issue was room was loud from air conditioner and what sounded like a generator for the yachts .
Ask for pool side room to avoid the noise at night , they told me the marina side was an upgrade , views are nice but very loud at night when they hookup the yachts.
This was second time here and I do enjoy going here , room was very clean . Also like the 12pm checkout , gave extra time at the pool in the morning.

Diamondhead was just what we were looking for .. Clean , comfortable , and right on the beach with a bar very close to the pool and the beach . There are plenty of bars and restaurants close by and the weather was perfect . They upgraded our room .. without us even asking and the balcony was awesome. Only two very small criticisms (1) The TV in our room would periodically "lock up" and (2) The water in both poolside Spas was lukewarm at best. Otherwise we could not have asked for anything better.
