If you are looking for a beautiful inn that has gorgeous, well taken care of rooms, a friendly and attentive staff, and is walking distance to a bunch of restaurants, shops, and things to do, you cannot do any better than the Kearsage Inn. Once you stay there once, you will end up going back again and again!

Few hotels anywhere in the world could surpass the Washington Resort experience. And it's surrounded by lush, dense New England White Mountains. The hotel staff were exceedingly courteous and helpful. My only suggestion would be a small breakfast nook area when once doesn't wish to enjoy a first class buffet.
Also, the band was a little loud for a our dinner. Maybe that was an exception.

Paid good money for the best room but was disappointed. It was much smaller than I expected and was a little worn here and there. The staff was excellent and the room was comfortable. The breakfast that came as a perk with the room was very limited and not on par with other hotels.

The property is beautiful with gardened grounds and water views all around the property. Spa was small but nicely appointed with an outdoor enclosed hot tub exclusive to the spa, a sauna and access to the indoor pool. The service and massage were excellent with a lot of options to choose from. The outdoor pool overlooks a stunning bay. The area had food and drink service, a hot tub and an adult only lounge space. My young son had a blast in the pool! We stayed in a 4th floor room at the front of the hotel with lovely water views. Latitudes the restaurant overlooking the bay was good but our service was slow. The breakfast was well worth it! We had a voucher for the buffet but we chose to skip it and applied the $41 value to order from the menu. Portsmouth is close by so I would recommend grabbing dinner off campus. We also traveled to North Hampton State Beach which was not too busy and had great waves - it's a surfers destination. Overall great visit - our first and we'll be back!

At check-in only one learns there is a daily parking fee of $12. Access to parking is not near entrance because of construction. In the room, there's a sleep-number controller on each double bed. Instructions are minimal and we soon realize all that is happening is inflation and deflation of a glorified air mattress. Breakfast is $14/person. I could have saved $50 bucks at a nearby motel and gotten free breakfast, so lesson learned.

The hotel is a little older inside, but good if you are just looking for one night. The ladies at the front desk were very nice, and overall it was a pretty good hotel. The rooms were clean which was a nice surprise because the elevator was filthy.
