Monte Carlo was being renovated but it did not have any impact whatsoever on our stay. Yes, rooms were a bit tired not clean and just fine. We only slept in our room...so we were OK with our room. loved the view!...180 degree view of the mountains from the 23rd floor. Outstanding. Staff were friendly and helpful. Buffet was expensive but no more than everywhere else. Vegas, in general, seems to be alot more expensive. Would I stay at the Monte Carlo again...sure, no problem there. Oh, by the way, the pool was being renovated so we could either use the MGM Grand or Mandalay Bay. Once again, no issue there. we went to the pools at the MGM grand 3 days in a row. We loved it.

We were disappointed in the dining choices. Tailgaters closed before 7pm. We got hungry at 8pm. our choices were to go to a buffet, steak house or sushi or cafe. We just wanted a quick sandwich. Room service said it was an hour before food could be done. We went to the cafe to get a take out sandwich and we waited an hour. They need a quicker, easier way to grab a bit. They need more choices! Tailgaters on a FRIDAY nite during basketball season should not be closing so early. As a matter of fact, the last time we stayed during football season the same thing happened. So many people, all hungry and no easy fast way to get food.
