MGM is getting older now but it is holding up well. Have not stayed in the new tower but have no complaints with our room. We have tried many of the hotels on the strip but keep coming back to MGM. Disappointed the nice sandwich place is now a cupcake shop and the McDonalds is now a Johnny Rockets. Used to like the McD for quick breakfast and late night coffee but went to the buffet this stay so don't know what the JR breakfast was like. MGM is great access for the Monorail. We have been buying the multi-day passes for years and don't hardly walk on the strip at all any more. With SLS in at the old Sahara end of the line location a taxi is less than 20 bucks to Fremont Street and takes no time at all (you beat the terrible stop and go traffic on the strip). Was happy to see the schnitzel was back at Wolfgang Pucks at the MGM, perhaps my favorite restaurant. The pools are some of the best in Vegas. The main pool was closed but the lazy river is always fun.

The room was comfortable. Furnishings were old, TV very old. Carpet old and stained. I understand they are in the process of remodeling rooms. We had an older room. Air conditioner worked fine. Bathroom as nice although shower looked old.

The hotel is located away from major traffic, which made it nice for traveling. The hotel is kid friendly for those that bring kids. Pool areas are spacious and extremely comfortable.
The rooms are also very spaciously designed and comfortable.
Staff was friendly and helpful.
Great stay at a great place.
