"Superior Hotel "
From the moment we checked in, we were treated with a truly professional service. My sister from the UK, who has been in hospitality management, was astounded not only by the hotel and its facilities but by the professional and pleasant nature of all the staff. From housekeeping, bar, to breakfast staff, all had a can do attitude and enjoyed their jobs. Breakfast buffet was heaven and even the chefts had a genuine interest in our stay. The front desk guys were exceptional, informative, helpful and a real credit to the hotel. One person in particular, on reception deserves special praise, was the tall Frenchman (forgotten his name) he is elite, a true asset to the hotel. Once again, thanks to the staff and the hotel for making our stay in Cairns a real treat.

"Close to the airport"
The hotel was a great stop over for the night before and after our over night great barrier reef excursion. It was on a main street which had many restaurants and bars to choose from on top of the restaurant and bar located in the hotel itself. It has an outdoor pool, but we didn't end up using it although it looked quite nice.

"Good and bad"
We booked a 2 bedroom apartment. The one bedroom had the kitchen and dining facilities was amazing. However, the second bedroom was not directly joint but located behind the first bedroom apartment. In itself, that wasn't the issue. The room in the back was very badly ventilated which caused the room to be extremely musty and had a very unhealthy smell of mold. Staff assisted by running an 'ozone machine' for 45 mins, but it was a shame that half of our travel party woke up looking at paradise, while the other half slept in a dark, dingy and smelly room.

"Not bad but definatly not the best"
Littlw bit if a walk to he main street which is good for your health. Hotel is nice, pool has been done up to feel a bit more contemporary although updating the sun lounges would go a long way. Our room was quite comfortable, bathroom still a bit retro but I kinda like it. The bed was very comfortable! And the water pressure in the shower was amazing.

"Once in a Lifetime Experience"
Amazing!!!! Food was fantastic, rooms are spacious (especially for being on a boat) and staff was always there to help. I felt like I was on a floating 5-star resort. They definitely go over and beyond to make your experience perfect. Everything from hot breakfast the moment that we boarded our shuttle boat to carrying our suitcases on and off the boat. Everything was smooth and perfect! Thank you so much!

"Good location, small bedroom, difficult to unpack"
It is in a good location, close to shopping, restaurants, tour offices and a short walk to the marina. The apartment itself is okay, small kitchen but okay for a few days. However, the bedroom is very small and no dresser or shelves to put your clothes. There is a closet for hanging clothes but nowhere to put folded items, underwear, bathing suits, etc. Therefore, you are forced to leave those items in your suitcase. No suitcase stand so it must go on the floor by the side of the bed, not leaving much room between it and the bed. If you are travelling light no problem, but with a couple large suitcases and staying for 5 nights it is very inconvenient.

"Good location"
Good hotel, helpful staff, clean but dated room. Unfortunately it was noisy, the room we were given had a.c units outside blasting all night, also we were next to the busy laundry with noisy machines

Cairns is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Cairns, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Cairns hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
