Dog & Bear Hotel

"Needed overnight stay and had a dog with us."
Found this hotel the night before we stayed there, looked good and took dogs (very important!). The hotel was busy, had a busy but pleasing atmosphere, and staff were helpful and friendly. We ate in the pub (dog under the table) and enjoyed a few glasses of wine. Rooms were a good size and quiet. The hotel provided what we needed.

"Very modern hotel"
We stayed for one night on Saturday 6th May 2017. Very impressed with the amount of room and space of the facilities. Very modern feel to the room which was spacious and had everything we needed. Good parking and reasonable prices.

Beautiful hotel will be going back. Rooms are gorgeous and the decor is fab. The staff go out of their way to give you an amazing service. We're used to the area so would advise looking into parking before you get there.

"Dated large hotel "
Danes could potentially be great but unfortunately because of a general lack of care and attention it falls well short. Breakfast was luke warm. TV remote was missing from our room. Window latch was broken. Reception was surly and unhelpful. Walls are paper thin you could hear guests talking in the next room! Onsite Peacocks whilst nice to look at are noisy early risers and disrupt the guests with their 5am call. Gardens are spacious but tired and need some TLC. It's a shame because as a location it's great. If some attention had been put in then many of these problems could easily be resolved.

"Perfect location"
This is an attractive hotel in a great location. Easy walk to large shopping centre as well as many choices of cafes and restaurants. The hotel retains its original charm but with modern comforts. We stayed in a superior suite in the main building which was large and provided beautiful bathroom products. Would stay again.

"Well positioned for peace and quiet"
Rather unusual hotel - some sort of foreign student business runs from the same address. Everyone on the staff I met was very friendly, whether Finnish, French or Greek. They love to make you cups of tea! Breakfast was puzzling however - I was shown where the kitchen was - very well fitted, huge table - but it was deserted whenever I went there. A sign said it was a do-it-yourself kitchen, and please clear up after you, so very like a hostel. I found some cereal and milk, and there were eggs, but no sign of any bread, or any indication of if you were supposed to buy all your own stuff. As I wasn't travelling by car, it would have been a nuisance to have to go shopping and impossible to pack food to bring. I had cereal and milk, and hoped I wasn't eating someone else's food! Also the room wasn't serviced, so the bin was overflowing after two days. I am over 70, and maybe 'Hotel' means something different to me.However, the room was very reasonably priced, and the place would be great for younger people more used to hostelling. Very handy for the RHDR steam railway.

"One night stay"
This is a nice enough hotel however it is getting a little bit dated and starting to show some wear and tear. The hotel has good amenities such as the pool and serves an excellent buffet breakfast. Only downside was the bed was a bit soft for me, so not as comfortable as I would have liked.

"Wonderful country hotel"
Couldn't have been lovelier - the owner and staff were friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, the setting is serene with a lovely garden. I needed help with directions and avoidance of narrow lanes, and the owner was tremendously helpful! It's close to charming Tenterden and not far from many of the historic sites of Kent.

Biddenden is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Biddenden, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Biddenden hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
