The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The place is quite worn down but conveniently located right next to the Capitol building, and within walking distance of downtown Austin and UT Austin. Works fine if you’re just looking for a place to sleep. The housekeeper in our corridor was not very friendly, but at least the one in the opposite corridor was, giving us a hello and a smile to start our day.

This was the nastiest Hotel I have ever stayed in and I'm 69 years old. I would like to notify the City of Austin and La Quinta and recommend it be shut down until renovated. For starts there is broken plater everywhere in lobby and rooms, left unrepaired and unpainted. The Fitness Center had a sign "Closed Till Further Notice" The room was disgusting , raw plater and spackling on every wall. Broken missing fixtures. The carpet by the AC was wet. The toilet would not flush and I had to take the top off the tank to get it to fill. When we reported to the manger they offered to give us a toilet plunger. Ironing board, NO iron. The next morning a 7:00am I went to take a shower and NO Shower Curtain, floor was soaked. 7:15 am asked front desk if they had maids cleaning room? The y stated yes upon request. I told them our room 130 , needed to be cleaned, extra towels since we had to use them to do the floor , fix the toilet and need a shower curtain. The young lady wrote it all down on the special message pad for the manager on duty coming in at 8:00am.When we returned Saturday night 7/12 (Mid night) NOTHING was done, they had to find a shower curtain in another room. I plan on reporting this facility to any and all agencies possible.

Run down hotel, not in a great area. Valet only for $55 and reception wanted $25 to check in at 2:30pm as it wasn’t 3pm yet.

Do not stay here!! This place is disgustingly filthy. We arrived at our room to find a squatter in there on the first night. We got a different room that smelled of mold. The bed was comfy but the carpet, the floor, the curtains etc was so dirty and dusty. Me and my partner tried to stay out of the property as much as possible because of how dirty and sick we felt there. Our key card stopped working twice when there and no one was at the desk for ages. The elevator broke too during our stay. When stripping the bed on the last day. I discovered a massive blood stain as if someone had bleed out on the mattress. I felt unsafe when in the hotel.

There were dead roaches all over the room. Blood stains on the sheets. When i switched rooms there was no ac then no hot water. The toilet would not flush. Overall that was the worst hotel i've ever stayed at. So dirty all over the place.
