"Nice hotel and close to the beach"
It was a quick family getaway. I was looking away from the strip until my wife brought the Showboat to my attention. I thought it was closed. But she said that its open. On other websites it states that it's still closed. That needs to be fixed to get customers. But overall my family had a great time. The beach it a few steps away and their restaurant ACE was delicious. A must try.

"Great Location, nice beach."
We picked Resorts because of its location on the beach and access to pier as we were traveling with 3 teens. Gave them options to just take off which was great, beach was clean and enjoyable. Room was clean, spacious and quiet. The only overwhelming negative to the hotel (and I'm sure this would be of any casino in Atlantic City) is the horrible stench of smoke from the casinos. As a non smoker, it was completely unenjoyable and was not limited to the casinos. Even our non-smoking floor smelled of smoke. We would have liked to spent more time in the casino however I could not tolerate the level of smoke. Too bad they never got rid of smoking! Would be a significant reason in deciding whether to return to Atlantic city of not. Otherwise hotel staff was fantastic, always helpful. Nice rooftop pool, although extremely small couldn't find one seat let alone 5 for our family so had to stay on beach. Might opt for another casino with bigger indoor pool next time.

"Nice hotel close to beach"
Nice hotel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Very clean rooms and a great view of the boardwalk and the beach. The hotel was close to many attractions. The other guests were very friendly and helpful. Free parking and accessibility to the garage. We would definitely stay here the next time we come. It was a great experience.

"Nice overnight getaway"
Close to the beach, the staff were all friendly and helpful. The room phone didn't work & I had to go up a floor to access an ice machine. $75 dinner at Guy Fieri's Chophouse (delicious!) netted me FREE valet parking ($10). Booked through Expedia and got FREE wifi & a $10 food voucher. Ask for comps, you never know what you'll get...

Carisbrooke Inn

105 S Little Rock Ave, Ventnor City - Map
"Charming B&B near beach"
Our stay was brief—just one night—but planned that way. Carisbrooke Inn is a charming old home converted into a B&B. Its location a few miles south of the main boardwalk casino area means you will either need to drive into Atlantic City proper for the boardwalk experience or hoof it. If the weather is good and you are reasonably fit, walking is a good option. If weather is not so great, or you aren’t a fitness fanatic, prepare to spend some money to park in one of the many parking lots in Atlantic City; or walk to a Jitney pickup (they do not appear to go into Ventnor City, where the hotel is located). Inn staff were pleasant and professional in our brief interactions. The room we were in was on the small side, being on the top floor, and had a detached bathroom; this was not a serious problem, however, and overall the Inn was a good choice. The extremely soft mattress did make for a less than comfortable night’s rest, sadly, but every place has its mattress woes. If you want to stay somewhere close to Atlantic City without having to mortgage your home for a stay, you should consider Carisbrooke.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
