Hotel is at a busy area and parking is very limited. so we used nearby paid parking. Clean room of decent size. Has a public bath and laundry facilities. We walked to kenroku-en, the castle and the omicho market. There are lawson, family mart and 7-11 with in 100 meters. Great value and super convinent.

The hotel was a bit tired around the edges. My room smelled of old smoke even though I had booked a non-smoking room. The bathroom and linens were clean, but the curtains and bed frame had definitely seen a lot of wear. The staff were very friendly and the onsen facilities were great.

We loved hotel, was very well located. The only thing that I don’t recommend at all is the breakfast. It’s just a sandwich and coffee, nothing more. Thinking about that it’s Japan you would expect another thing.

This wasn't just a hotel, this was an entire experience! From the moment we walked in to this beautiful hotel, we were asked to remove our shoes. Love the fact that it was always clean. Rooms are very spacious with beautiful bedding. A great shower with tremendous water pressure. Extremely clean in the room and bathroom. Wonderful amenities in the bathroom. Comfy pjs that can be worn throughout the hotel, in the lobby, in the breakfast room and to the onsen. The location is excellent. Breakfast is wonderful ... sushi bowl, tempura shrimp, eel and veg, miso soup, fruit, sweets, plus many, many more offerings! Excellent service throughout this terrific property. Five star!
