The room was horrible, old, dirty, the worst was the bathroom mold everywhere, floors,walls, broken sink, no hot water anywhere. Informed supervisor and she offered to deep clean the room or change to another one. We were given a new room ??? which the bathroom ceiling still showed what the last earthquake did to the room. This trip was a nightmare. Staff was not helpful at all. Food was always cold and not too many choices, the bar and the music horrible. Transportation from airport and back had a hard time trying to schedule service, Never again at Puerto Escondido

Pasamos cinco días maravillosos en Casona Sforza y no nos queríamos ir. La arquitectura es increíble y las instalaciones, impecables. Es un hotel pequeño, perfecto para quienes buscan una verdadera experiencia boutique: íntima, tranquila y con mucha privacidad. A pesar de su tamaño, tiene distintos rincones y ambientes donde pasar el día, todos con una maravillosa sensación de paz. Las habitaciones son espectaculares. No se escucha absolutamente nada excepto las olas del mar. Es el lugar perfecto para desconectar. Incluso los demás huéspedes parecían estar en la misma sintonía de tranquilidad y serenidad. La comida es deliciosa: un menú pequeño, muy bien pensado, variado y cuidadosamente curado. El servicio fue extraordinario. Especialmente queremos agradecer a José, Lina y Bruno, quienes siempre nos atendieron con una sonrisa y estuvieron pendientes de nosotros. Celebrábamos nuestro aniversario y nos ayudaron a organizar una cena de degustación privada en la playa, con una decoración y montaje impecables. Fue una noche realmente especial. Fueron cinco días perfectos. Nos fuimos con la sensación de haber encontrado un lugar verdaderamente especial. Sin duda volveríamos.

Clean room!!

Excellent room size, modest sized pool (shared) was right outside of our room and easy to use or lounge next to. Included breakfast was really fantastic. Drinking water easily available from water dispenser in the lobby (very convenient!), and they'd offer ice which was a nice touch when heading out and carrying cold water in my water bottle. Staff was accommodating after I was arriving late due to my own transportation issues, and after forgetting something in my room after checkout. No doubt I would stay here again. Note: I'm from the USA, so it took some adjustment to the bathroom and shower walls being open at the top rather than being entire walls, but other accommodations in Oaxaca had similar setups with exposed bathrooms or no doors to the main living area, so this might be more common than I realize. There were some small, harmless ants along parts of the floor, which didn't get into my belongings, given the climate and environment this isn't a surprise. The light by the bathroom mirror isn't super bright, but that wasn't an issue since I don't rely heavily on mirrors when getting ready. The location brings walkable access to the beach and is a short taxi ride to many attractions nearby, but the local towns are not immediately outside of this hotel, which I prefer because I like a quiet room and I wouldn't want to visit just one part of town anyway, as there is lots to explore. 10 out of 10 would stay here again!
