Very disappointed that after driving 8 hours and being very tired that our room keys did not work and then had to wait 40 min to get ones that worked. Staff was not very apologetic or friendly. Not our typical experience with this hotel. If we didn't have kids we would stay elsewhere next time. This hotel offers a lot of great activities for families, which is a huge draw for us.

"Best to visit in winter"
The good things: very comfortable bed and pleasant linens. Overall, our room was nice except the vacuumed carpet had many stains, bring your own slippers. Small kitchenette had good equipment, with some coffee supply, but no tea. Reception staff was very pleasant and professional. The negative things : 3 housekeeping staff. First they were in our way on our arrival in front of the entry door in garage, standing there I our way completely ignoring us , while we were trying to manipulate the heavy card with our luggage around them to get to the elevator. The same happened on our departure , another 3 housekeeping staff standing in front of the elevator in our and other's way to get the elevator, in both situations there were no greetings what so ever to any guests. They should be sent for training to Mexico resorts, were the staff greets one every time they see you, put their hand on their heart and ask you what can I do for you today? This part was very disappointing. Our room: I was expecting room as advertised on the web , with balcony and view. We got a room facing back, no view, or balcony. Normally I would be very mad to get that room if paying full price, especially when the resorts seems to be only one 1/3 occupied, we got it at discounted price, so we accepted it as it was. How much better would that be to get upgraded and get you above and beyond review instead...where is the business acumen?

"Very nice hotel with many things to do "
I really thought it was a beautiful place with beautiful views of the mountains. For the most part we really enjoyed our stay. Also has many little shops and restaurants, cafes, and spa all downstairs. I was disappointed in the room though. Our pull out bed was broken also things were missing from the room and the staff forgot to clean the refrigerator out and coffee pot and also our tv remotes were missing really weird...

"Wedding trip"
Booked our stay at the hotel because it was close to the wedding location. Pleasantly surprised! The hotel is in a great location, right next to the Olympic villlage full of shops and great places to eat. The rooms are spacious, clean and the bed was super comfortable. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The staff lets us check in early to get ready for the wedding.

"Great hotel, amenities, and access to everything "
The hotel is well situated and has a feel of luxury . There are options for eating and direct access to hiking and it's a major hub for mountain biking . The easy free parking was a must have . The other parts of Tahoe were a short drive .

"Nice Condominium"
This was a nice condominium in Truckee which is northwest of Lake Tahoe. It is close to the northern beaches if that is of interest. It is about an hour drive to get to the the parks on the southwest edge of the lake. The condo was well equipped in terms of the kitchen setup and utensils. The unit was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The unit is part of a very large complex and it takes some effort to find the unit. It should be noted that the unit we were in did not have air-conditioning and we were there in mid August. With the use of fans we were comfortable but this could be an issue if the weather was unusually warm.

"Beautiful hideaway 13 minutes from Lake Tahoe"
We truly enjoyed the ambiance and warmth of the room. We were slightly disappointed when upon checkout, the room we had initially booked at One Village Place by Welk Resorts was unavailable due to an air conditioner failure. This was a little upsetting initially because we were excited for the One Village Place experience. To compensate, however, they upgraded us from a two bedroom/two bath to a three bedroom/three bath. While it was only my mom and my husband staying, the extra room did not have a purpose for our visit but it was nice to have the space.

Tahoe National Forest is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Tahoe National Forest, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Tahoe National Forest hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
