"Awesome location. "
Wonderful view from room. Close to Funitel. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. Underground parking is great with easy access to room. My daughter also played games and created crafts in a complementary supervised kids area that the hotel provided. Great trip.

"Great port in a winter storm!"
We always have great stays at Donner Lake Village for our ski trips to Sugar Bowl. This week we stayed in a wonderful Lake View Studio room, making great use of the kitchen. During the rain and 7 feet of snow that shutdown the ski slopes, we enjoyed the fast free internet, TV channel selection and DVD player. The staff cleared mountains of snow from the parking lot and handled a 15 hour power outage with grace. They gave us the option of checking out early, no charge, due to the conditions, but our room was too cozy to leave and we still got in two days of skiing. Special appreciations to Dan, Bob, Liz, Nicole.

"Great hotel!"
Right next to squaw valley ski and a shuttle runs between them. There is a ski in and out available but not for beginners. The restaurants there were pretty good and you have couple of options or can take the shuttle to squaw. My only complaint is that there is no noise buffer between rooms. We had a family next to us on the last night and screaming baby and kids yelling at 5am kept us awake. You can hear people clearly in the next room. Something as simple as a hairdryer is heard well enough to wake you up. Besides that we had a great stay and it was a nice and clean hotel with some great views.

"Wonderful skiing weekend"
We stayed here for a weekend getaway without kids last week and had a wonderful time. The staff is welcoming and incredibly helpful. You can't beat the location. The valet parking is included. We didn't have to drive anywhere for 3 days. Heaven! The front desk has a ski valet. The Funitel and Gondola are just steps away from the hotel. A hearty breakfast was included. (I LOVE the Plumpjack signature granola) We enjoyed drinks and a casual dinner in the bar the first night and dined in the formal restaurant the second night. The food was great in both places, as always, and the wine selection was fabulous. My only complaint was that we were woken up early by trucks our first morning. Our room faced the service entrance for the hotel next door. We were easily able to switch rooms and slept soundly the second night. I would stay here again if I came up without kids.

"Good, quiet place to stay"
Generally, I thought this hotel as being a nice place. Too bad they are somewhat hard to find and their signage is tiny! The hotel itself is smaller, but well kept and the staff are wonderful. The rooms are spacious and clean. It is a quiet place to stay, with an excellent Pizza place within easy walking distance. I would definitely recommend it.

"Olympic Village Inn"
Great hotel right in Squaw. The rooms are set up well for two people that don't want to hear each other snore. Doors separate the living area with a pull out couch from the bathroom which has a door on the other side that leads to the bedroom. So you can have privacy and also share space. Perfect for people who like to have a living space and kitchen when they travel.

Tahoe National Forest is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Tahoe National Forest, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Tahoe National Forest hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
